Let's also do our part. We should stop blaming the corrupt politicians and the rich for our miseries. While it's true that they contribute to our present situation, some factors can also be blamed on ourselves (daghan kaau tamad).

Daghan ta pwede mabuhat. Di na lng ta na hulaton ang mga corrupt og datu ky wa jud mahitabo sa ato.

And I think this thread is one way of doing that. Ok ra man guro maskin pix sa depressed areas as long as nag promote positively like how happy Filipino's are (malipayon ang Pinoy) despite of poverty. We always find ways to smile or laugh maski nagkalisod na. And that's one Filipino trait we should be proud of!

I don't know. But don't you think everyone here or at least the majority should have more fun first before inviting others. Or at least for the majority to live well before having fun with invited guests. We who are fortunate may live well but we are in a vast depressed area and I don't think we can have much fun or invite guests to have fun surrounded by depressed areas.

This is what brought down the downfall of Marcos and Imelda, Argentina's Evita Peron, the Roman Caesars, etc. They had so much fun inspite of the sufferings. Marcos and Imelda projected Philippines as a "fun" country by hosting Miss Universe, Ali-Frazier fight, etc. building pyramids like the Cultural Center with foreign loans - even if it would set back GNP to a considerable degree and inspite of the sufferings of the Filipino. Imelda had depressed squatter areas boarded with long white-painted planks so that these can't be seen by tourists.

If not for Filipinos to have short memories and to be the forgiving type Imelda and her ilk would not have been allowed to return and still live in splendor.

Can you have fun living in a depressed area? Can you enjoy having much fun inspite of the poverty that surrounds you? Only if Pinoy will not botched his governance then there's a glimmer of hope we'll have fun and project Philippines to be resided with fun citizens - not funny as having fun inspite of their miseries.
