St. James Amusement Park Photo Contest
Mechanics and Prizes

Contest Rules

1. This photography contest is open to all amateur and professional photographers.

2. Official Entry forms are available at (to be announced) from Mondays to Fridays from 9 am to 5 pm, & onsite at on Dec. 26 & 27, 2011 from 1 – 6 pm.

3. Participant may use any Digital camera.

4. Each participant can submit up to 10 photos each only. One main category: Fun and excitement at St. James Amusement Park – images showing fun at the amusement park. Double entries are not allowed. In the event of double entries, both photos will be disqualified.

5. All photos should be taken at the St. James Amusement Park on the 2 designated date ( temporary date:
Dec. 26 & 27, 2011)

6. Deadline for submission of photo entries will be on December 29, 2011 at 5:00 pm at Graphic FX Advertising & Design at Maryville Condominium, Rosal St., Corner Gorordo Avenue, Lahug, Cebu City.

7. Photographs must be in digital format. Final entries shall be submitted as a 5”x7” Photo Print without
borders, with the photographer name indicated at the back of the photo.

8. The corresponding entries RAW file and EDITED JPEG file (at least 4MB) of the images must be saved
and placed in CD/DVD format with the name of the photographer on the CD/DVD and envelope.

9. Post production like exposure control (dodging, burning, color correction ); Color saturation (control); creative cropping, sharpening, contract/brightness adjustment, and other minor digital retouching is allowed. Fish-eye lenses are acceptable. High dynamic range images (HDR) and stitched panoramas are acceptable only if the combined parts are all made around the same time. Composite images and digital alteration like adding/removing of any part of the image are disallowed. Any changes to the original Photograph not itemized here are unacceptable and will render the Photograph ineligible for a prize.

10. Submitted Raw files that appears to have been tampered with, after verification, shall be automatically disqualified.

11. The photograph, in its entirety, must be a single work of original material taken by the Contest entrant. By entering the Contest, entrant represents, acknowledges, and warrants that the submitted photograph is an original work created solely by the entrant, that the photograph does not infringe on the copyrights, trademarks, moral rights, rights of privacy/publicity or intellectual property rights of any person or entity, and that no other party has any right, title, claim, or interest in the photograph.

12. Participants may use models or props in their entries. Each photographer is allowed to bring in three 3 models for the photo shoot.

12. Identifying marks, signs and address to insinuate information of ownership is strictly prohibited on the photo entry

13. Winning entries shall be used by St. James Amusement Park in their advertising and merchandising efforts. St. James Amusement Park retains the right to print and publicly exhibit entries submitted.

14. The royalty of the photographer shall not apply every time St. James Amusement Park uses the photos in the advertising, promotion and merchandising activities. Ownership to the entries shall be retained by the photographer. The photographer may not use the photographs or variation of that same composition for any other purpose except for his personal portfolio. Photographers will be given photo credits every time applicable.

15. Decision of the designated Board of Judges shall be final and uncontestable
