IPS is good at colors and viewing angles, pero it's expensive and have lower response time. In which cases, u can experiece some ghosting while watching fast action scenes.

Better go for a good TN panel if budget is limited. Scout around bro. Trust me, daghan pa nice kay sa hp x2301.

I am a freelance web developer and I love using the HP x2301 monitor. It does not hurt my eyes even if I spend more than 12hrs per day working in front of it. The display is sharp and the glossy screen amplifies the contrast of the monitor. The only disadvantage of this screen is if you don't have control to the location of the light sources. But if you are used in using laptops with glossy screen then you would not have any problems with this monitor.

The color accuracy of the HP Sword is not that accurate compared to IPS panels but if you are into gaming and watching HD movies then you would not notice the difference. The spec sheet says that it can display a 75% Gamut color accuracy and that is already accurate if you are comparing it on a Twisted Nematic (TN) level.

IPS Technology is used by Mac monitors. The only drawback sometimes of IPS panels is slow response time which is not good for gaming.

For Gaming and Movies - Go for the HP x2301
For Graphic Designs - Find a decent IPS monitor.

It is just using the right tool for the right job.

If money is not a problem.. It's better to get two of them.. One IPS panel for graphic works while TN panel for gaming and movies..
