i think there should be a basis when selling to somebody a highly venomous specimen.

try to consider these things when selling your specimen to somebody :

1. age - if underage ang buyer then dako ang risk nga dli xa responsible
2. experience - does the buyer have ENOUGH experience to have your specimen?


the PRICE should be not the ISSUE here.

Sir thuzhar: thats a good point sir. Kana would be address if all sellers have good communication ug walay magkiat kiat... Tow the line lng gud unta... Hobby first, business is just secondary. Prices would still be a factor sir kay kung affordable kaayo tanang inverts (level 1 or level 5 man), masdako man chance mapunta sa di maayos mga tao. Both jud na sir.. Prices ug responsible seller. As what some peple say, d nmo mapugngan ang buyer kung mupalit jud kaso kung taas taas ang presyo, at least makaduha duha ug huna huna...

mao dapat naa governing body jud sa tanan tarantula owners bro. problem lang kay dili paman gud registered ang t's diri sa cebu and breeders/owners are busy sad sa ila dayjob mao wala jud maka atiman. like sa tennessee bro, naa governing body didto nga if mu buy ka ug t's, under ka automatic nila and mura sila ug animal rights group for t's. gi monitor pirmi ang owners ug t's unya if masakpan ka or ma prove bisan nga mishandled lang ang pet, butangan dayon ka ug fine ug prison time pa jud. pero like i said, busy man gud ang mga tao diri sa ila dayjob. pero if someone would take time and effort to appeal sa denr about registering t's as a household pet i think possible. question is, who would spearhead that initiative?

Imo cousin sir naa sa tennessee? Hmmm maybe ur refering to ATS (American Tarantula Society)? Di kaayo ko suhito sa uban states about local group organizations pero diri sa US sir halos tanan naay common understanding. Halos tanan Ts ug scorps hobbyists kay magabot ra sa mga forums, online groups or mga conventions and once masakpan ka nga low baller or mubagsak presyo ka or imong gi devaluate ang Ts ug scorps, kaubo jud ka. Personalon ka ug tira sa boards or sa website... Take for example the issue between a BIGTYM westcoast dealer vs mga BIG TYM dealers from east coast ug central US. Although d pa man gani kaayo na low bal ang price sa taga west coast dealer compare sa standard US price but giinitan jud cya ug taman. Its because once maguba ang value sa Ts ug other inverts, lisod na isaka ang prices balik.

As to forming a group dha cebu, I dont think its totally necessary. As long as responsible lng ang mga sellers, buyers ug hobbyists in general unya dili profit first ang mentality, then I think it will be alright... Lisod na kaayo kung musulod na ang mga government agency sir kay mahimong cash cow atong hobby unya... Basin hasta ang mealworms ug lateralis ug ubang feeders I-tax sa government. Minatay na jud!!!

As for the group, mao man gud ang init nga topic karon ang irresponsibility daw sa buyers nga naa daw uban gipa away2 murag local nga spiders. i wasnt really specific about registering pero ako pasabot is to acknowledge lang na ang T's and scorps as an exotic pet. i dont know about laws regarding pets diri sa pinas pero mas nindot unta if ma pareha ka accepted ang inverts sa govt like didto sa states. pero yes possible sad na himuon ug cash cow ang hobby sa mga govt officials. that would be the worst case scenario.......and God forbid unta. hehehe
