For my case, I dress well and keep myself healthy and fit NOT cuz my girl wants it but cuz she deserves it. She may not ask for it, its not a necessity(though I know some girls who thinks it is) but I want to give her an extra pride that her man looks cool.

I have always loved my man in his rugged attire.
As long as the colors are coordinated and do not clash with each other, I don't care if he wears tattered jeans, an old comfortable shirt and more than a year old sneakers!

Regarding scents, a splash of alcohol (Green Cross specifically) after a bath just makes me want say "oh-la-la"...

basta presentable and neat. not necesarily nga mahalon xag gisul.ob, bsta limpyo lang..and i always look at the nails if long or dili.
