i could say, we need these type of machines now, due to heavy rains and encountering
some parts of the city that floods so deep not even suv' could pass.

Precisely , since our roads and drainage don't get fixed, might as well upgrade to vehicles that are built for today's hazards .... broken roads everywhere, flood , etc .. its surprising that our daily hazards are because we can't fix the latter.

I have an FJ40 na naka tambay lang sa garahe, naa guba daw ang engine. If ilisan nako makina unsa man mo sakar ani? Pila pod? Gusto ko kana pang city driving og a little off road action.

That's cool FJ40's are cool , with that lovely F engine . I sugguest trying to find a broken down 40 to maybe salvage the engine, but those come rare these days.

When u say guba, did ur mechanic mention what was guba? maybe you can still overhaul? If it cannot be fixed due to being majorly damaged , you can try looking into a 2H with a 4 speed tranny, or a 2F or 3F as your 40 is Gas fed , now if u plan to go diesel 2B or 3B.

I've heard also people placing Nissan engines in it like the SD33 or RD28's both desiel, Just be sure that the engine matches the transmission and differentials.

As for stock and pricing , not sure how much those go for these days, also refer to your mechanic too.

Looks to me its not a major overhaul , well you can fix your LC in steps , its pays to make your vehicle road worthy first.
