I just read this article from our weekly Filipino Panorama here, qouted as follows;

"The defendant (Candare) later deleted the post after it was dluged with outraged and shocked comments, but the Philippine Animal Welfare Society got hold of a screenshot and filed charges,, the report said.
Candare became the first person in the country to be convicted of cruelty against a single animal,joining 40 other people who had been convicted of mass animal abuses, including the transport and sale of dog meat, they said".

Oh my gawd, serial killer in the making!

I saw a show on Philippine television once about Filipino dog and cat killers. One of them claimed to have "converted". Dili na siya mag patay ug cats, he takes care of them na. He's feeding them and all, but there was still something about the way he caressed them and touched them that was a little bit.... creepy.
