There was a time in my life, when I just gave up on my happiness and decided to not say no to anyone.
If I was physically, practically and mentally able to help the person, I would.
I made sure I was able to help people and I didn't mind not getting anything in return.
In the end, I noticed I was happy being able to help people, mainly because of the fact that whoever you helped, you were surely better off than that person.

I believe you think of the bad stuff when you are actually not doing anything at all.
You don't necessarily need to have nice things happen right away.
Just start making a difference and be a source of happiness for everyone else.
Things have a tendency to get better from there.
