Hell no! They can't even do their jobs right and now you want to arm them with guns? They're lack of training and poor judgment failed to notice 4 cars in a 2 lane street, overloaded jeepneys, vehicles with broken down lamps, motorcycles with no mirrors, illegal lane switches, and vehicles running past traffic jammed vehicles using the other side of the street.

Now he plans to arm them with guns? How do you expect these imbecilles to use those weapons during their daily routine? You expect them to handle those guns with the reverence? Now you want them making decisions about when to actually pull out that gun and point it at someone?

Tear gas instead of guns for Citom; City has no money to buy guns: mayor

T WILL have to be tear gas for now.

Cebu City Mayor Tomas Osmeña said the City has no money to buy guns so it may instead have to issue tear gas canisters to the City Traffic Operations Management (Citom).

“I’m still open to providing them with firearms as long as they’re properly trained....(But) we can’t allocate anything for the purchase of firearms at this time,� he said.
