this is what I had learned with my boss.

In every payday, I should have separate the 5% of my total income and start living with the 95% and treat that 5% as savings and that 5% would be untouchable.

5% is too small. recommended savings is at least 20% or your income and a total of 3 to 6 months of your monthly expenses naa sa bank. But you can slowly move up from 5% to 10% then 20%, para maanad ka.

@TS: sayon rana bai, try this.

Income - 10% Tithes(remove kung di ka believer ani) -20% savings = Expenses

if ilahi nimo daan imo tithes and savings after receiving your pay, mapugos jud ka ug survive sa nabilin.

and to avoid temptation, just bring enough cash samot na kung mo adto ka ug mall kay daghaaaaan kaayo lami paliton sa mall and daku kaayo chance makagasto ka.

also if manglaag mo imo barkada pag dala ra ug sakto nga cash kay lami jud gasto samot nag nakainom na hehe.

but sadly, it's not an excuse not to save. kay saving is a habit and lisod buhaton.
sakit jud tunlon kung wa ta naanad ug save. but if bata pata magsugod dali ra kaayo maanad
kay kung maghulat pata when naa natay responsibilities(like me sauna) or guwang na, lisod jud kaayo.
unless you can find your golden goose immediately.

the bright side, maski gastador ang mga single, dali rapud kaayo i-convince nga magsugod ug save

for example: gi stereotype man ang call center agents nga gastador or worse palautang, but storyahan lang nako as my client and most of them mo start dayon ug save unless na lubong pa ug utang. But they will start to clear their debts dayon, samot nag ingnan nimo nga " di man kaha ka ganahan mag trabaho forever" or "lami jud ang kinabuhi sa way utang ug daghan savings"
