is this a local unit that is covered by canon 3 years warranty?

@livewire: I bought mine abroad, I'm not sure if canon warranty is 3 years or 1 year. But if it's a year, it's got 6 months left. If it's 3 years, it's got 2 years and 6 months left on its warranty. didn't really bother checking, but I've got the receipt as proof

Thank you very much sis. Pass lang ko. Local Canon Service Center wont honor that warranty. They charge 1250 service charge + parts everytime u bring your DSLR to them.

they're supposed to honor it, it's a world wide canon warranty.. not sure why canon philippines is being picky about it if that's the case
