I remembered back then, we were already given insights about the ability to understand finances.
And by grade 7 we already have ability to make informed judgements and effective decisions about the use and management of our money(allowance at that time).

I know for one USC Montessori Academy has this.. My nephew studies there and asks me a lot
re: financial literacy every now and then. I guess it depends with the school huh!

Geez.. if wala gi-offer sa school.. parents should take it upon themselves.. after all, learning starts at home. (problema kay ang parents otro di kibaw)
    good for your school
but most schools even private schools dont offer this.
and kulang rasad kaayo if elementary lang, dapat high school and college naa ni.
ang plan jud nako kay sa mga college graduates kay dinhi jud mag sugod ang financial trap due to credit cards and salary loan.

That's great to hear. However, not a lot of schools do that (teach financial literacy). It's ironic because if financial literacy is being taught in grades 4 to 7, how come it wasn't tackled in high school and college?

I've got my hands down to schools that teach their students to be financially literate. However, I believe that more than half (not even a quarter) of the schools here in the Philippines don't do that.

If DepEd or CHED would just consider inserting it to curriculum, I'm sure that it would be a great step to curb poverty.

Poverty and financial struggle is a choice in contrary to what a lot of people think that it's their destiny. All people want to succeed in life but aren't willing to pay the price for success.

    Mao ning idea nako:
It is important to learn financial literacy from grade/high school. But if only businessmen know from their course, who will teach the secondary students?

Ang problema sa tanan na major problems(economy, poverty, administration, infrastructure, etc.) any ang culture/religon jud. Kay sa amo-ang mindset, dili ganahan ang tau mo change. Walay freedom of expression man tungod sa culturistic/ religous views.

bai di man complex ang financial literacy. Kiyosaki made it very simple to understand. And there's a very simple system to teach financial literacy. Students wont even need to spend more than 5 hours on this. But they must practice the discipline, for it to work.
