Ask unya tang Antonio Margacheato kung epektib ba ang Hydroxycut.

    Controversy over weight loss drug

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) -Controversy erupted Saturday night before Manny Pacquiao and Antonio Margarito even got in the ring.

A weight loss supplement was seen in Margarito's dressing room before the fight, and Pacquiao's team demanded that he be tested before the fight for possible banned substances. Texas officials, though, said the testing would be done after the fight as usual.

The weight loss supplement was reportedly Hydroxycut, sold over the counter.

Margarito struggled to lose the last few pounds this week to make the 150-pound contract weight for the fight.

guys, the one you mentioned "hydroxycuts" is different from the hydroxycut from MUSCLETECH. Hydroxycut is already an independent brand not connected to muscletech anymore. Muscletech's hydroxycut is engineered and researched to deliver the best results. For me anything masobraan maka daot man gyud sa lawas. So take everything in moderation.

It doesnt mean man pud na hydroxycut only makes or gives you the cut. You still need your 1 gram of protein/lb of bodyweight. Imo diet pud imo bantayan (less sodium and less refined carbs). Mao na kadaghanan wala kahibaw unsaon gyud ang proper use sa fatburners. You also need your other supplements like EFAs and multivitamins. You also need to alter your training into a shorter but higher intensity workouts geared more towards fat burning.

You also have to consider that you can't look ripped and cut all year round. getting a bodyfat less than 5% is also dangerous to the body. Too low bodyfat causes an ED (erectile dsyfunction). There is a season for everything. Bulking up and getting ripped.

Just be patient lang gyud ta ani. There is no easy road man sad gyud. All of us have different genetic make-up so naay uban dali ra mu cut naay uban lets just say...it would take more time and effort (ako apil na ini...hehehe)

    cheers,

Dietary Supplements Linked to One Death; Pose Risk of Liver Injury

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration is warning consumers to immediately stop using Hydroxycut products by Iovate Health Sciences Inc., of Oakville, Ontario and distributed by Iovate Health Sciences USA Inc. of Blasdell, N.Y. Some Hydroxycut products are associated with a number of serious liver injuries. Iovate has agreed to recall Hydroxycut products from the market.

The FDA has received 23 reports of serious health problems ranging from jaundice and elevated liver enzymes, an indicator of potential liver injury, to liver damage requiring liver transplant. One death due to liver failure has been reported to the FDA. Other health problems reported include seizures; cardiovascular disorders; and rhabdomyolysis, a type of muscle damage that can lead to other serious health problems such as kidney failure.

Liver injury, although rare, was reported by patients at the doses of Hydroxycut recommended on the bottle. Symptoms of liver injury include jaundice (yellowing of the skin or whites of the eyes) and brown urine. Other symptoms include nausea, vomiting, light-colored stools, excessive fatigue, weakness, stomach or abdominal pain, itching, and loss of appetite.
"The FDA urges consumers to discontinue use of Hydroxycut products in order to avoid any undue risk. Adverse events are rare, but exist. Consumers should consult a physician or other health care professional if they are experiencing symptoms possibly associated with these products," said Linda Katz, M.D., interim chief medical officer of the FDA’s Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition.
Hydroxycut products are dietary supplements that are marketed for weight-loss, as fat burners, as energy-enhancers, as low carb diet aids, and for water loss under the Iovate and MuscleTech brand names. The list of products being recalled by Iovate currently includes:

    Hydroxycut Regular Rapid Release Caplets
    Hydroxycut Caffeine-Free Rapid Release Caplets
    Hydroxycut Hardcore Liquid Caplets
    Hydroxycut Max Liquid Caplets
    Hydroxycut Regular Drink Packets
    Hydroxycut Caffeine-Free Drink Packets
Hydroxycut Hardcore Drink Packets (Ignition Stix)
    Hydroxycut Max Drink Packets
    Hydroxycut Liquid Shots
    Hydroxycut Hardcore RTDs (Ready-to-Drink)
    Hydroxycut Max Aqua Shed
    Hydroxycut 24
    Hydroxycut Carb Control
    Hydroxycut Natural
I have to agree with @plethoraldork. i spoke to a guy who was a into Hydroxycut, and lets just say that his body is in rehabilitation now because of the side effects of this drug. You start off with 2 tablets a day then you would later on increase to 4 tablets because in a sence, you will be addicted to working out. Yes, it makes you loose weight and you would gain more muscle mass but there are side effects to this drug. As per experience of that friend of mine, he had a hard time sleeping, eating, increase BP, restlessness, increased sweating. in the end, he stopped taking hydroxycut because of the negative sideeffects. In the United States it is Banned and most workout fitness instructors will not recommend this. However, here in the PH it is still being sold, so it all depends on you... Choose wisely.
The best way to gain muscle and to loose fat/weight is to exercise.
