FAR MANAGER TUTORIAL

First of all; I am in no way responsible for whatever you might do to your phone if you choose to follow this tutorial. You might render it completely unsusable for all I know.

First of all you'll need the FAR Manager program. Download and install version 1.70.

Then you'll need the latest SE Flash Plugin for FAR Manager. Unzip the content to the ..\Program Files\Far\Plugins\ folder.
Credits to Darkmen for the plugin.

When you start FAR you'll get this screen:

You jump between the two file views using Tab.

Pressing Alt+F1 gives you this screen:

Select "SEFP" from the list to enter the phone. Make sure the phone is turned off and the DCU-60 cable is connected to the computer but NOT the phone.

Hit Enter and you're presented with this screen:

Make sure the settings match for the DCU-60 cable and Tab to "Enter The Matrix" and hit Enter.

You get this screen telling you what to do:

When the phone is detected you get this:

And you can release the "c" button.

The program connects to the phone and shows this screen:

Select FS (for filesystem) and hit Enter, and the program scrolls through some info and then you're in the root of the filesystem:

And from here you can move to the different folders using Arrow Up/Down and hitting Enter. The .. at the top gives you the parent folder.

Pressing Alt+F2 lets you choose what device you want to see on the right hand side:

Here I've moved to the /tpa/preset/system/menu folder on the phone:

I've marked the files in yellow for deletion. You mark files/folders holding down Shift and using the Arrow keys. Hit F8 to delete and answer "Yes" in the confirmation box.

I've marked the files on the right hand side for copying them to the phone:

Press F5 to copy. Move to "Copy" in the box and hit Enter.

And the icons are copied to the phone:

IMPORTANT!
When you've finished with the changes on the phone move up to the root of the filesystem, until you get this screen:

And answer "Yes" to SHUTDOWN the CSFSloader. Otherwise your changes will not be made on the phone. And the phone could become unusable.

You end FAR Manager by pressing F10:

And answering "Yes"

DISCLAIMER

If you're not completely sure about what you're doing in regards to editing the filesystem with FAR Manager, you probably shouldn't do it. There's a very real possibility that you'll end up with a very expensive paperweight. You have been warned!

yea you dont need an internet connection to modd. just download the files somewhere then put them in your home pc.

the menu style you can also download from forums like se-nse.net among others.

ang darkman plugin kay ang SEFP.dll raman para ma-enable ang SEFP function sa FAR Manager. kung walay SEFP dili nimo madetect ang imong phone.

Im currently using the Crystal Menu. I edited the Menu to Change the PlayNow to run my IM+ apllication so I can do Yahoo messenger on my phone. And I change Internet Service to run my Opera Mini so I can browse Istorya even on the go.

I plan to install some patches sometime this week.
Patches to be installed:
1. Disable Setup Wizard
2. Remove Java Permissions
3. Faster Scrolling for files with long names
4. Change Whitelist to Blacklist
5. Allow taking of pictures even if a Java program is minimized
6. Changing the Java Folder to enable sending Java apps over bluetooth
7. Remove the volume warning
8. enable adding all the menustyles and layouts in the phone (With this I can now change menu styles like I would change themes without having to use FAR Manager each time)
