Paint Thinner used to revive dead motherboards?

paint thinner is not that active when in comes to varnish removal..lacquer thinner is.

paint thinner is almost as strong as kerosene ( filipino : ga-as... cebuano..g'as. shortcut hehe)

i use it with a metal cleaner plus a toothbrush for heavily soiled contact points of vc and ram..

works like a liquid abrasive

Aw, mao diay@mobo surface, okay thanx ayu.. for the info. Nasayop pud diay qo, i mean ang gigamit nila cleaning and 50/50 reviving is the contact cleaner (aerosol spray), very mahal I've used before and I missed that one kadtong super red can mahal jud cya and pangitaon na kaayu ron, mra stop production na guru...If i could remember it was made in US, ive tried other products dugay ayu mo dry..

btaw then let's take the second property sa liquid the good conductor of electricity.. just because you turn ur rig off ang unplug the power does not mean wala nay electricity nagdagan sa mobo..

Best Practice ..... Don't wait your MOBO to die.
Preventive Maintenance will extend your mobo's life longer.

clean it with a non corrusive non-plastic melting and non-conductive contact cleaners.
paint thinner or laquer thinners are just the alternatives.

A dead MOBO is a Dead MOBO. no amount of cleaning will revive it.

evaporates and dries fast...

na itom intawon ang vc...


lesson learned :

dili itaug ug basa pa sa lacquier thinner.

work in an open area.

in case of fire..DO NOT ROUSE with WATER...

di mana maka daot ngali ang tiner kay mao man gyud na pang limpyo sa mga board....exactly kong goba na gyud ang board din hogasan ninyo swerty2x lang man ngali ma olian.....dili man ngali advisable ang mo gamit og heater

sayop hinoon ka bro..... most likely ang problema ani kay loose contacts sa manga sinoldahan. ang gamit sa thinner kay pag limpyo lang and paspas mo uga. then after hot air dayon para pag balik contact sa manga nang liki na sinuldahan. pero if naa manga issues like ni buto ang capacitor or busted ang IC.... this wont apply na, you need to replace the parts.............. kana maau if wala mo complicate ang daot sa other parts....

paxenxa na mga guys ndy ako marunong mag visaya.. but i want to ask what is good for possible reviving dead motherboard "lacquer thinner or paint thinner"? sorry im confuse other who comments here.. and i don't have air blower to dry the thing easily. Can i use electricfan or heat of sun to dry it up? advance thanks you for ur help..
