@ springfield: bro, even if riverbend is sitting pretty somewhere in the continental US in her $500k home (which i personally find to be farthest from the truth, as her stories can easily be checked out by members of the international press that are in baghdad), but it still doesnt change the fact that these atrocities arer happening in Baghdad bro...

Its a FACT that invading armies ALWAYS pillage, rape, murder, vandalise, etc...

And Baghdad Burning's stories coincide with news reports... Riverbend just relates it on a personal level, murag Anne Frank during the holocaust bai...

Here are some news stories (out of hundreds of sites...):

http://www.chris-floyd.com/isahaqi/ <--- 5 CHILDREN bound and shot in the head. WTF? as in, WTF? (Gwyn, i suggest you don't watch this powerpoint sis...)
    http://www.commondreams.org/views06/0601-25.htm

    http://www.zmag.org/content/showarticle.cfm?ItemID=6952
    http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/articl...NG60KDD951.DTL

and a quote from one of the above news reports:

"The allegations sound like reports of war crimes committed by someone else's soldiers: men in black ski masks enter a house, where three of them take turns raping a 14-year-old girl. They then kill her, her parents, and her 5-year-old sister.

It is the kind of atrocity Americans associate with the Nazis, Serbian paramilitary commandos in Kosovo, perhaps Russian troops in Chechnya -- not U.S. soldiers.

"One doesn't expect the American troops to behave the same way, because there are notions that higher morals prevail in the U.S. armed forces," said Robert Rotberg, an expert on conflict and conflict resolution at Harvard University.

But as a military tribunal in Baghdad is deciding whether five American soldiers must stand trial in connection with the rape and murder of an Iraqi girl and the killing of her parents and sister in March, military experts and historians warn that it will become increasingly difficult for American troops fighting against an elusive enemy in Iraq to maintain military discipline under the intense pressures of war. Wartime atrocities, they say, occur in most wars and are committed by most, if not all, occupying troops -- even by such a high-tech, well-trained military as the United States'."

Actually bai gi himo lang to nako na scenario na WHAT IF . No one else can attest anything other than the person who was really there to experience it firshand . Though she is an IRAQI , it is a given that she is there but in a war torn country ? Writes good in the English language much more in the cyber world ? Anne Frank did hers on a book handwritten that was preserved . Anybody is anyone in the internet . I am not questioning the ATROCITIES either thats why a couple of soldiers where charged for violating the geneva COnvention towards POW's .

Its a FACT that invading armies ALWAYS pillage, rape, murder, vandalise, etc...
True and VICE VERSA , mao bitaw gi tiguman nako ang Ak-47 and Dragunov sniper rifles kay mao nay gikahadlukan sa mga US troops . Kataw-an ra ang mga varmint rifles nila . We dont also know how our POW suffer from the brutality of the Iraqi's also .

And Baghdad Burning's stories coincide with news reports... Riverbend just relates it on a personal level, murag Anne Frank during the holocaust bai...
Just like LOOSE CHANGE bai .... because they need a source and shoulder to lean on . But noting is wrong with that because thats what US is trying to make Iraq right ? A democratic country .

Here are some news stories (out of hundreds of sites...):
Again , I will only treat it as a GOOD READ as for now and will not use it as a leverage for me to turn my back . The only remorse I have is why are we still there ? Saddam is out of the picture already .

US afaik even did it in peace time while in the Philippines . Its either daghan sila gi rape na gi husay lang in the name of DOLLARS or daghan gi palammi-an ug promises unya anakan mao daghan kaayo ta ug artistahon sa nasod na mga tisoy . But those are individual actions and not rom the government .
