Agree ko ani! Here's my experience....

I worked the graveyard shift for 3 months and grabe jud ang changes sa akong body. Ni-dry akong skin, ni-lawm ang skin under my eyes, pirme labad akong ulo, sige ko fever, headaches.... In the later half of this schedule, I ran an average of 20km a week, got 5-6 hours of sleep, and ate mostly veggies and fruits. I still didn't feel healthy. O.o

Then gi-change akong shift for one month and things got better. I was still running 20-22km per week but getting more night sleep. I felt healthier, my skin looked way better, and di na ko sige absent kay sige ko kasakit. Ni-dako akong paycheck. Hehehe.

Karon, balik na ko graveyard. In the past month, I've been absent 6 times, late countless times, been sleeping on the job. Sige na ko heart palpitations, headaches, body malaise. Ni-grabe pa jud akong depression.

I'm probably more sickly than the average person... But I can definitely say that it's hard to stay healthy while working on the graveyard shift. There will be long term effects even if you don't experience them now. Dili man ta dapat forever naka-graveyard shift ang worker..... Pero I guess mas kapoy if rotating ang shift.....

In my experience, it's uber hard to be healthy while on the graveyard shift. We were made to sleep at night. I don't want to wait a year to get used to this. In fact, I don't want to get used to this. O.o

I don't want to look older than I really am just because I want the premium from the graveyard shift.
I don't want to be susceptible to cancer because of a job.
I want to get some decent sleep. Like 8 hours a night.

And because I have a choice, di lang ko mag-padayon graveyard shift oie. Kapoy. Hehehe. Murag di jud madala in the long run. Murag di jud healthy.

(Sus! Before this job, 7-8hours akong sleep. 10pm - 6am. around that time....Exercise in the morning, freelance work dayon, then baking for the business, then relax at home. then sleep. Repeat. I wasn't earning as much, Lingaw ang life.)

The body doesn't work efficiently on one type of antioxidant only. Our body needs diverse types of anti-oxidants. I doubt glutathione alone can reinvigorate the body to a very significant degree. It might help but not to the same level as it is being advertised.

I guess there are just people that can cope with nightshift and those that don't. Sakto imung decision na mangita ka ug dayshift na job. Money is really nothing when you're compromising you're health. Tuo ko sa saying na "health is wealth".

I dunno. I think that because we were made to sleep at night, there will be negative effects to our health... whether we feel it at the present or in the future. Grabe ang effect sa sleep debt. Then there are body functions that are most efficient during night time. Lahi man na ang maka-cope ug sa maka-stay healthy. Maka-cope ra siguro after a while. But still be healthy? Maybe not.

But don't take my word for it. I'm not a doctor. Hehe. =D
