As of the present, the venue is being graciously hosted by the management of Paseo Arcenas. Despite the free hosting, we need to support the organizers of the event since cash prizes are given to each event . Sponsors for this new sport in Cebu is not easy to get by. So if there are people out there willing to donate or solicit for sponsors or willing to help in any way, please contact ryan or jute.

bai, pupareho ra ato problems. None of us are full time trainers and I also work in a hospital. Everybody is welcome to join and the objective is to train your own dogs. Essentially, Jute and Ryan will be guiding the people thru the course. They are not professional nor full time trainers. They are just more dedicated to the sport and they can show you how to do it. But as they will emphasize to you, all it needs is 3 to 5 minutes everyday of your time. We dont have the trained dogs for the competition but they need our full support since hosting the competition not only demands time but financial support as well from sponsors. feel free to contact them anytime.

Yup as Yasabi has said we are not professional trainer or full time trainers to other dogs. We also have work/jobs, but being an owner of a dog(s) we are a full time trainers to our dogs 24/7.

Dog training has many sides to look in to, one of which is the behavioral side. In my opinion, a hired trainer can not fully look in to it because he only trains your dog 30-1hr a day. That is why we highly encourage, teach and facilitate owners to train there dog. Because you are with your dog 24/7 you can encourage these good behaviors or correct the bad ones.

i think this event is way better than the dog show lang. coz, as we all know, when it comes to dog shows, it's beauty vs health.. but kini nga event, mas maka appreciate gyd tang tanan, coz makita nato ug unsa ka obedient ang iro. naa man gud uban tao nga di gyd knowledgeable sa uban breeds, correct? so some nga mo tanaw og dogshow, makaingon nga, "HALA! NGANONG NING DAUG MAN NA? MAS NINDOT MAN TONG ISA!" coz lisud man gud ang criteria sa judging anang dogshows kng di ka 100% sure unsa imong gi tanaw. hehe! but anyways, peace.. comment ra ko.

1 more thing, heres a link of the documentary about the down side of dogshows.

naluoy ko sa mga cavalier spaniel, and R. ridgebacks. *sigh* and also, observe the GSD's nila... maglugos na og lakaw para lang makuha nila ang sakto nga stance sa dog.
    O.T.

each aspect has its own patrons. conformation to breed standards is not entirely for "beauty" only. the dog's balance of physicality is considered. if its all for beauty, then no other dogs can win against the hairy breeds such as shih-tzu, pekingese, yorkshire, poms, etc. you can understand it more if you indulge more on the sport of dog showing.

but as i said, each sports has their own patrons... it doesnt mean though that one is inferior or superior with the other... iya2x man ng ganahan sa mga tawo. me, i like both... actually they can complement each other - conformation and agility sports.

    just my two cents.

Emphasize lang ni nako ... gwapa jud na mga hairy but then these are meant for the event man jud as a " BEAUTY CONTEST " since mao man na ang ilahang purpose being lap dogs , toy dogs to be showed off ....

Sa case sa mga conformation sa mga medium to large breeds na gi breed for the purpose outside sa conformation like DOberman Pinschers , GSD's , Golden Retrievers etc ... some may look ugly but let them perform duties they are meant to do thats why they exist , mas mo labaw jud ang ilahang skills than just posing and stacking and diha para nako masukod jud quality sa breed .

In the case of GSD's for example ... I have seen papered dogs that doesnt even have red and green colors in them but would cost and arm and a leg because these are dogs with lineage na halos tanan SCH3 . For the mere reasons why they are into it now kay these are SHOWLINE GSD's that mutated from orginally sa WORKING LINE GSD's na mga traditonal breeders sa Germany suko kaayo tungod kay sa bone structure sa SHOWLINE na lisod mo perform sa ilahang duties as intended being SHEEP HERDING DOGS but the SHOWLINE owners prove them wrong . SHOWLINE can perform the duties now sa WORKLINE at the same time looks good which the workline doesnt have .

NIndot jud ang iro 2 ang qualities na naa ... FORM and FUNCTION .
