Opyong, this matter is now out of your hands. this won't only affect the June passers but it would also taint the succeeding batches as well, that is if they can't make a sound judgement on this matter. let's look at the bigger picture here, would you rather have those 18,000 passers off the hook or would you rather witness the rest of board takers, after your batch, have difficulty looking for jobs abroad? I know that there are instances wherein the U.S. don't require the NLE but they'd rather have you pass the NCLEX and the TOEFL but still it's not a guarantee.

‘Let everyone take nursing test again’ -- Gordon

THE only way to restore “the integrity and credibility” of the nursing licensure test and profession is to scrap the results of the June 11 to 12 board examinations and administer a new test, Senator Richard Gordon said on Monday.
Suggestions to allow everyone to pass would “fail everyone” too, he said.
"There would be less demand for Philippine nurses among hospitals and medical centers, especially in foreign countries. Even the innocent -- those who passed the tests without cheating -- would suffer," Gordon said.
A total of 42,006 nursing graduates took the June exams. Forty-two percent or 17,871 passed.
Earlier, Dr. Fe Marilyn Lorenzo, director for the Institute for Health Development Studies at the National Institutes for Health, told a hearing of the Senate inquiry into the nursing exam leak that three Philippine hospitals and American employers have advised the Philippine Nurses Association that they would not hire those who took the June examinations.
In Senate Resolution 516, Gordon warned that the "allegations (of cheating) could taint the credibility of the entire government-sponsored testing system and affect the image of all Filipino professionals going out of the country."
He noted that the world looks to the Philippines to fill the nursing shortages in many countries due to the reputation of Filipino nurses for competence, diligence and compassion.
The senator also called on the Philippine Regulations Commission (PRC) to punish those responsible for the alleged leakage of examination questions and suggested that government regulate the operations of review centers.

i think it was well explained.. Retake nalang gyud para mapadayun ang Philippines' Nursing reputation! para ra ni sa atong kaayohan!
Re-take is not the solutions.....
kahebaw man ta na deli na mao lang ang solution pero thats one solution to restore “the integrity and credibility” sa filipino nurses! dapat sad na sentensyahan kadtung nagtake part sa leaking and improvement on prc system ang angay sad buhaton.Originally Posted by SamuraiArcher

on a serious note, i think implementing a re-take is the ONLY solution.. it's just quite unfair to those who didn't had the guts to cheat but had to take the exam again.. na damay hnuon..

yes, i fully agree with retake..that's how they can redeem their faces...
Dili lang sa Nursing ang tinikasay. Tanang academic courses nga na-ay licensure exams. Na issue man gani to ang Law ug Doctor's exams. Pero wala ko kasabot nganong wala gyod ni ma imbistigar sa gobyerno. Ma da-ot unya ta sa foreign employment activities nato kay dili na sila mo salig sa atong mga Engineers, Nurse, Accountants, etc.. And DECS or DEPED should do something on this matters para dili unya ma apektohan ang atong exportations of workers abroad. Sila ra ba gyod ang nag buhi sa Pilipinas.
the application for RP to host NCLEX in our soil has been denied
... and expectedly, a lot of sanctions are still coming our way, unless they come up with a decision RIGHT NOW!!
