My take ? If you are indeed a pet lover , consider yourself a nature and animal lover also . Who cares about DENR ? I at one time did moy share in reporting the people sa may manalili , kana gi nganlan ug CHOY naa na siya sa watchlist na .

For the reason na daghan ka ug crickets na lawg , its not justifiable na makabuhi naka ug TARSIER . Dili ni SWITO SWITO , its a well known fact and it must be respected . I dont care who you are and what you are , here in the forums .... sayop ang gibuhat ninyo .

@ GOODS ... since ikaw man ang more knowledgeable enough , ika wna unta ni educate sa TS .

@ ISKUL BUKOL ... yes I can do something about it . Try me . Maybe sa Manalili wala ko mabuhat but here in the forums , it doesnt take a " IN THE LONG RUN " that I can do something .

It doesnt mean EXOTIC na siya bawal na siya buhion , its just that there are species that needs to be in the natural habitat and in the wild . Take for example , bawal ang tarsier himuong pet but pwede ang palawna monkey but they are both primates , monkey eating eagle is bawal buhion , you can even land in jail for 12 years if convicted na nipatay but it is ok to breed banog , these are both birds of prey .

btaw oi, @TS: i suggest lang nga try another type of pet nalang nga pwede lawgan og crickets.. coz maluoy lang tawn ka sa tarsier, di bya ta sure nga malipayon sila or dili kng icage na nah sila.. i disregard nato ang DENR,ani nga topic, and ato hunahunaon nalang nga endangered specie ang tarsier. so tabang nalang ta og stop sa market, para mo stop pud ang poaching. good evening.

to TS, why tarsier? I dnt think nga majority sa mga tawo wa kybw nga endangered ni sila, so why?
mas nindot pman unta sila tnawn sa wild or kung sa hawla, with the proper people to take care like zoos and wildlife rescues.. dili hawla diria sa balay....

ive heard lots of stories of that incidence too... tarsiers man gud are social species.. they need to be with their kinds.. mao it is not conducive sa ilaha nga himuog pets... what for? kay nahan tang mga human? is it worth the risk nga kabalo man ta nga if masayup tag buhi, mamatay (or magpakamatay) na sila? murag dili worth ang risk di ba? and that is beside the point nga these animals are highly endangered and theres big chance that the next generation will not be able to see them in actual if poaching (and "petting") them will not stop... mao gani kato tarsier site sa bohol nga pirmi adtuan sa mga tourists gipasara sa bohol lgu kay they want to protect the animals from being stressed... ambot ra if nadayun ba tong ordinance closing that particular site. let's do our share...

@others who support the thread... we dont mean any harm.. we are just voicing our opinions against the idea. yes we cannot stop you or anybody who wants to go ahead with the idea but since youve made it known in the open, its but natural that contrary opinions will be voiced out. it is against public policy so it is prohibited. yes there are a lot of other endangered and as prohibited species being peddled around.. but dili pasabot nga okay na lang kani kay naa man gani lain baligya/gibuhi pod. illegal is illegal no matter how many people are doing the act.

let keep our cool guys. forums may be a venue to openly discuss our views but it is nowhere democratic. our views are bounded by perceptions (contrary or otherwise) by forum authorities... at the end of the day, they have that ban button, we dont .

It's your problem.
You want tarsier... go ahead.
You are looking for somebody who can sell you a tarsier... go ahead.

But if you are smart enough to understand, it's very clear that you can't do it here.

Every one of us is entitled to his own right.
But that does not mean that you can just exercise it anywhere.

Perhaps now you know why this discussion has to be locked.
