wow it's great to hear that you guys like a lot of the Goo Goo Dolls' songs... i was pretty much a casual fan myself since 1998 and I only knew 3 of their songs (Iris, Slide, and Here is Gone). But this year I explored their other unreleased songs (including their earlier ones), and I got hooked ever since!

To me, their songs are really good (content-wise and melody-wise), with very good guitar riffs and catchy tunes that get stuck in your head. You guys really should give them a listen, especially you Alternative and Alternative Rock fans!

yeah check out some of their other songs (see my post above for highly recommended songs)... and i know you will be pleased with what you will find.... i started with 3 of their songs, listened to the others, got hooked, and the rest is history...
