was going to watch man ta then my friend warned me about sa mga kapalpakan niya so wala na lang ko tan-aw coz at that time i wanted something light and funny man gd, wasn't in the mood to feel more heavy-hearted...

Without a doubt one of the most influential films of all time. Although the story is set in feudal Japan, the story of the masterless samurai is actually symbolic of how Japan, once a country of proud warriors, were humbled and stripped of their honor when they were defeated during WWII and how they were trying to regain their pride once again.

what you said. definitely ranks up to one of the bests! i hear that an anime series is made basing from this movie.

kenchan if i may suggest, try watching "Seven Samurai". this film is definitely for you. Its a movie by Akira Kurosawa and ranks as one of the greatest films ever made (no BS here). you can find samurais, bandits, peasants, swordfights, "rice" and an in-depth perspective of the japanese caste system in this movie. i know you'll find this movie even more interesting.

and since you watch animes i think you'll have no problem with the subtitles. just give it a try. thats all im saying.
