For Beginners please also consider pitcher-plants, they are easier to grow and get much bigger (meters!!). The VFTs are still young, mga 4 cm diameter, but I was able to raise them without losses since importation in October. But I have ugly hands with 10 green thumbs - just imagine, hehehe...

Recommendation to all: Once you receive your plants, you don't need to expose them to direct sun immediately, as the roots might still need to connect to the new soil properly, before they can supply enough water. Let the plants settle for a while (think two weeks or so) until new growth sets in. Then SLOWLY increase the direct sun exposure.
