Cebu may have scored low in the recent survey for best cities in the Philippines but let these pics speak for itself. Due to a very fast development, the present infrastructure can no longer serve the present state of Cebu City. Nonetheless, Cebu can pull off anything for improvement and I'm sure, CEBU can do it!

This hotel is built beside SM City Cebu but not operational yet. Supposedly,
this is the Sheraton Hotel but SM Holdings bigwigs is currently looking for another
international hotel chain to manage this property. This hotel is due to open
coinciding with the expansion of SM Cebu, called "The Northwing" which will
resemble the SM Mall of Asia. In June 2007, SM Cebu will be the 4th
largest mall of SM Mall group and with the 2nd biggest entertainment area.
Now, it is called as SM CITY SOUTHWING and SM CITY NORTHWING

@malaysia - Waterfront Hotel is a huge structure which stands 17 storerys high with 560+ room accomodations including suites and it houses the 2nd biggest Casino in the Philippines, the International Convention Center (biggest in Visayas & Mindanao), the U.S. Consulate and an arcade located in the basement that houses a bank, a quite a number of 1st class restaurants, entertainment club, spa and many more shops. By the way, Cebu City WATERFRONT HOTEL also houses the DUTY FREE SHOPS, Beauty Shops, Fashion Boutiques and a wide-range of imported wine&liquor shop. It's a hotel with a mini-mall at the ground floor and at the basement. If I'm not wrong, this hotel is now the biggest outside Manila.

One of the reasons why a City is known worldwide because of the presence of the international hotels. Like Davao, they have Marco Polo Hotel in which this hotel is also in Cebu which opened just recently. In Cebu, it has Marriott Hotel and Hilton Hotel but one hotel resort in Cebu stands out the rest is the Shangrila's Mactan Island Resort & Spa. This resort was accorded recently as one of the best resort in Asia and the world. One reason for that recogintion is the recently opened CHI SPA which is the biggest spa in Asia. Tourism players say, CHIH SPA has made additional dot for Cebu in the world map. Herewith are some pics:
