    boss ang scale naa naba sa kartzone? kay magpa timbang nalang pud mi. it wud be better we will be using kartzone scale para accurate and we can plan on what to do with our cars just in case over/under weight based on its category.

    Here is the simplified summary of the Kartzone technical regulations. Remeber that the weight includes the driver and the car as it is during the race. Cone rules will be the same as last race in SM based on SCCA autocross rules.

    Car Classes

    Street Class

    • Production unibody cars only. No tube frame, half tube or custom cars.
    • Non-performance engine only. Performance engines have to run in super street.
      • No internal modification allowed in the engine. No after market cams, pistons, valves, or any other performance internal engine parts.
      • Engine must contain all OEM parts.
      • Intake induction is open.
      • Exhaust is open.
      • No forced induction allowed.
      • No nitrous injection allowed.
    • Complete interior.
      • Race seat allowed but all interior must be complete.
      • Same number of seats as in OEM.
      • Dashboard and door side panels must be present.
    • Full glass panels.
    • Complete body panels.
      • Fiberglass or carbon fiber allowed but all body panels must be attached to the car.
    • Exhaust should reach rear bumper.
      • Only the length of the exhaust is regulated. The type, manner of sound suppression or diameter of exhaust is open.
    • Suspension modification is allowed.
    • Only STREET TIRES are allowed. No semi-slicks or full slicks.
    • Weight categories.
      • Light – 650kgs. + 200kgs. per liter - example 650kgs. + (1.6 liters x 200kgs.) = 970kgs.
      • Heavy – 950kgs. + 200kgs. per liter - example 950kgs + (1.6liters x 200kgs.) = 1270kgs.
    Super Street Class




    • Production unibody cars only. No tube frame, half tube or custom cars.
    • Performance engine is allowed. Modified non-performance engine is allowed.
    • Only STREET TIRES are allowed. No semi-slicks or full slicks.
    • No SUPER CARS allowed.
    • Weight categories.
      • Light – 650kgs. + 200kgs. per liter - example 650kgs. + (1.6 liters x 200kgs.) = 970kgs.
      • Heavy – 950kgs. + 200kgs. per liter- example 950kgs + (1.6liters x 200kgs.) = 1270kgs.
    Modified Class




    • Production unibody cars only. No tube frame, half tube or custom cars.
    • SUPER CARS are allowed.
    • No FULL SLICKS or COMPETITION SLICK tires as listed in these rules. In case of doubt, the race director shall have the final decision on whether tires are allowed or not.
    • Weight categories.
      • Light – 550kgs. + 200kgs. per liter - example 550kgs. + (1.6 liters x 200kgs.) = 870kgs.
      • Heavy – 800kgs. + 200kgs. per liter - example 800kgs. + (1.6 liters x 200kgs.) = 1120kgs.
    Open Class

    • Production unibody cars only. No tube frame, half tube or custom cars.
    • The only limitation is the weights as listed below.
    • Weight categories.
      • 500kgs + 200kgs. per liter. - example 500kgs. + (1.6 liters x 200kgs.) = 820kgs.
    IMPORTANT DEFINITIONS:

    STREET TIRES – Tires that have a full tread pattern that are legal for street use. “R” compound tires, tires “for off-road use”, tires that are for “race use only”, tires “for competition use only”, tires “not for highway use”, slick tires, semi-slick tires, and other similar tires are not considered street tires. In case of doubt, the race director shall have the final say on whether tires used by a competitor are considered street tires or not. Kartzone shall publish a supplemental bulletin that will contain tires that are considered street tires.

    FULL SLICK TIRES – Tires without any tread pattern that are used for competition and racing only.

    COMPETITION SLICK TIRES – Tires that resemble full slick tires but have circumferential vertical grooves only, such as but not limited to Hoosier A6, Kumho Ecsta v710, Hankook z-214, and other similar tires. In case of doubt, the race director shall have the final say on whether tires used by a competitor are considered COMPETITION SLICK TIRES or not. Kartzone shall publish a supplemental bulletin that will contain tires that are considered competition slick tires.

    PERFORMANCE ENGINE – Engines rated by the factory as having at least 90 bhp (brake horsepower)per liter, including engines that are turbocharged, supercharged, or otherwise come in forced induction form from the factory. Examples are Honda all B series, K20A, K20A2, K24hybrid, Toyota 4AG 20v, 4AGZE, 4EFTE, 3SGTE, 3SGE beams, Nissan SR20DET, RB26DETT, Mitsubishi 4G63, and other similar engines.

    SUPER CAR – A car with a power to weight ratio of at least 150 bhp per ton. Bhp shall be determined by the published horsepower by the manufacturer and this figure will be divided by the published curb weight of the car in tons. Examples of supercars would be Lancer Evolution, Subaru STI, Skyline GTR, Porsche GT-3.

    Autocross nasad ta! Lets be early so we can do many runs. We will do a single run format but we will utilize the whole Kartzone Track including the shortcuts so expect a 1:30 to 2min lap. Goodluck guys! Remember to bring your helmets!!!!!
