ok bya ang LRT ug MRT but i'm still in favor of what Tomas said in one interview... "why spend millions on projects? pra madungagan ang utang sa city? kinsa mn ang mag bayad? aw mga cebuanos gihapon.. instead maypa e palit ug buses with affordable nga plitihan. atong pun-an nang mga bus karon nga nag biyahe to accomodate more passengers."

and another thing, mas maayo siguro nga e set aside n nga project ug igahin una nila ang budget pra sa pg butang ug suga sa atong kadalanan ky dili r ang motorists ang mka benefit ani, kita tanan ky ang mga daotan nga mga elemento mahadlok ug HAYAG. di mn tuod ma STOP ang mga krimen sa pulbiko but at least preventive measures are implemented.

Stopping crime by adding lights? That sound a lot like stopping fire by putting a wall around it. Why not stop crime using crime-fighting elements? Stop fire by using water, kumbaga.

well this is better than none. yes we have the Ombudsman to do the check and balance of these local officials but they have been proven as LAME DUCKS!

Crime is like what The Joker said.... "unstoppable force to an immovable object"
I'd prefer to take small preventive measures than waiting for the BIG STOP against crime which i doubt would happen in 5 years time.

So whether or not its true that the Provincial government failed to bring lights into the countryside, people don't know that that's actually a good thing.

So people in the province must praise the "Queen of Darkness" for failing to bring lights to their roads?

    nice one bai =)

One thing sa LRT/MRT is it will benefit not only Cebu City but the other Cities and Provinces sa Cebu. Tomas probably doesn't care about the rest of Cebu (outside Cebu City).

Ang city ba mu gasto if naay LRT / MRT from Dalaguete to Danao? I thought this would come from funds from the National Govt.

One thing mahitabo with the LRT/MRT is ma spread out ang growth sa Cebu.. dili lang permi sa City... Tomas would probably not want that since the outer lying cities and provinces would be getting the investments intended for the city since mas accessible na sila kaysa karon. Land value sa Cities wouldn't be so high as naa nay affordable land available within reach sa LRT/MRT unya di kaayo dugay ang travel time.

I'd personally prefer the LRT/MRT AND the BRT ... I don't see any conflict between the two as the BRT can still operate within the city while major hubs from north to south would be handled by the LRT/MRT.

I'm not taking sides here, I'm not even from Cebu. You all can debate about your leaders for as long as you want--whatever the outcome of politics in Cebu will NOT affect me as an individual. I'm just here to educate people about "light pollution", that's it. And I'm very comfy in doing that, because what I'm sharing is fact. You can take it or leave it.

Now go back to your regular debating. I'm eating popcorn.

Guys..please discuss the LRT/MRT/BRT/CRT in the correct topic. It has nothing to do with the road safety sign =)
