you're talking about ethyl alcohol which is different from ethylene glycol - a very inexpensive industrial coolant and heat transfer agent

the cooler is designed to be leak proof and the only weak spot is the connector/barb?? which will snap if you've got heavy hands when installing them

Look at my thumbs; they are white because I'm pressing so hard. The barbs are metal (CoolIT take note) so they don't break. The tubing is very flexible, resists kinks and despite not being thick, it's relatively hard wearing too. The whole thing is a very light with an 25mm thick aluminium radiator, and a low flow, copper microchannel CPU block.

With the recent Domino ALC review in mind, we were keen to put the H50 through the same stresses - it must withstand a certain amount of abuse from home builders, and Harry, and it must be happy running day after day. We have three H50s in the lab and we've used them continually for a few weeks on several systems: they have been "burnt in", as well as being installed and removed at least a half dozen times.

Not one broke.

Well, until we took one apart for photos.

I've been following this tech website closely and they're very careless when reviewing items specially with coolers to simulate abuse. They broke 2 domino ALC on their previous review as well as other items they've reviewed in the past. The one thing I liked about them is they're very frank and honest. In fact, they were even denied review samples for the 9800GTX before by Nvidia because they were already criticizing the rebadging but I digress.
