Good question.Â* IMO, the Pistons will be the same for the eastern conference unya the rest of the playoff teams nga ni participate.Â* Dayon, sa western conference - there will be lots of teams will be emerging... The Nuggets, Cavaliers, Clippers, Mavericks, Sun, Spurs ug Lakers(?) <= duha-duha pa ning lakers karon kay nag-abot ang mga oplok nga players... especially Skobe... este - Kobe.Â* Surprisingly, the bobcats will come out a good contender bcause naa silai part owner nga legendary player.Â* tingali kuhaon si Phil Jackson ni MJ to caoch his team.Â* Nest season will be more fun than 2006.

I really hope Houston and Minnesota will come up with enough players to compliment with their superstars... the Lakers will become a factor in the playoffs if makakuha sila ug klaro na PG.

Ex-Raptor James agrees to deal with Wolves

The Minnesota Timberwolves' willingness to make a four-year commitment to Mike James has landed them the best point guard still available on the free-agent market.

NBA front-office sources told ESPN.com that James on Tuesday agreed to sign a four-year contract with the Wolves worth an estimated $25 million.

James also confirmed the agreement to radio station ESPN790 in Houston on Tuesday.

Wednesday is the first day free agents can officially sign contracts.

James had narrowed his choice to Minnesota, Dallas and Houston -- where he maintains an offseason home -- and indicated over the weekend that the Mavericks had a slight edge, largely because of his relationship with Mavs coach Avery Johnson and their recent trip to the NBA Finals.

But the Mavericks and Rockets, according to sources, wouldn't commit to more than a three-year offer to the 31-year-old.

Minnesota's four-year pitch and the chance to team with Kevin Garnett won it for the Wolves, who have injected their backcourt with plenty of scoring potential by signing James and acquiring rookie Randy Foye on draft night.

Anthony Signs Multi-Year Contract Extension



NUGGETS FORWARD WAS ALL-NBA PERFORMER LAST SEASON

DENVER, Jul. 12 -- Denver Nuggets forward Carmelo Anthony signed a multi-year contract extension, the team announced today. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not released.

“Carmelo is an outstanding young man, both on and off the basketball court,� said Nuggets owner Stan Kroenke. “Our fans should know that we are committed to bringing a championship to Denver and we believe Carmelo is a key piece of that puzzle. We’re delighted to have him under contract for many years to come.�

Anthony led the Nuggets to the Northwest Division Title last season, the club’s first division title since the 1987-88 season. The Nuggets have also reached the postseason for three-straight seasons since Anthony’s arrival in 2003. Prior to that, the Nuggets had missed the playoffs the previous nine years.
