After the budget hearings off they go. Some go to junkets abroad, expenses paid by the tawpayers with their wives and children and yayas in tow. Others even have the gall to visit Disneyland using People's money. others are attending big cockfight derbies. Still other tendered their illegal gambling operations in the province to collect more moolahs to buy peiople's votes in the next elections.

Congress has this perennial problems about quorum. A clear testimony of the lack of commitment of those rotten and corrupt bunch of trapos inahbiting it.

Its good it has a very fitting name. The Lower House. Low standard.
It is very quick to understand that first and foremost, the job of a senator is to craft laws that could be beneficial to the people and not to be a perpetual investigator that leads a nation to its ruin. If a senator like Ed Angara is starting to have some doubts on the very institution that he is now in, that is because he has realized something which his colleagues might have missed badly.

And it is likewise very quick to understand why your suggesting some kind of scorched-earth policy to include the productive lower house. It cannot be denied that the lower house is friendly to the president but you should remember that there are also some of them that comes from the opposition. Just because the bad weeds are preventing the good plants to produce more -you want to burn them all. That's how the opposition like you are very destructive and again, I can understand.

You guys from the opposition should even rejoice now that Villar is the Senate President -the guy responsible for Erap's eventual demise. You can exact now your revenge by abolishing the Senate.

Let's just hope that we will have less politicians amore deserving public officials.
The Senate before was seen as a breeding ground for future presidents.
Now, I don't think so. As much as they only see themselves as an investigating body so that media exposure will turn to their offices whenever some controversies arise, the integrity of the Senate is at lost right now.

If they could put themselves to a more efficient and effective way of conducting their hearing in aid of important legislation such as anti- terrorism bill or energy-independence bill, maybe they could gain the lost respect.

The abolition of the Senate is long overdue. It merely duplicates the functions of the House of Representatives anyway. It hardly acts as a balance to the Lower House. On the contrary, it only instigates destructive politics.

You are right. I was just playing ride on to opposition's way of putting blame on people who may just be doing their job. When Villar transmitted the impeachment articles on Erap to the Senate (he was the erstwhile speaker of the House), the Erap crowd was howling for his blood because they question the way why he was so "overeager" about the matter. Ug nila pa, mahimo ra man unta ug gitapin-an to para di na lang madako ba.

Some of them are still harboring hatred on this man I'm sure so it's payback time baby. The Erap crowd must now act so that Villar (where it all started) and his boys should pack and go.

At least Erap was elected by the people with a margin of SIX MILLION votes against distant second JDV. The point is that this SIX MILLION votes were not respected because the elite trapos and crooks convince then AFP Chief Angelo Reyes to break the CHAIN OF COMMAND.

On the other hand GMA is a usurper not once but twice. The first by mob rule and the second with the help of her God named Virigilio Garcillano (a promising politican and clean track record kuno according to one poster).

No Im not one. Im just comparing Glue-ria and Erap. They are much the same actually. But i think Glue-ria is worse in so many ways. Jueteng? Erap has some but so is Glue-ria courtesy of her esposo Big Mike. corruption Glue-ria is worse. Fertilizer scam, OWWA fund reallignment. Philhealth cards and all.

I just want to highlight the hypocrisy and the double standard of Pro GMA who can easily see the flaw of Erap but cannot even see the wrongdoings of GMA which is happening right in front of their noses.
