    well ingon man si whoopz na init kau iya room kung udto, well its a matter of heat transfer lang gud. Ang init sa enviroment mo transfer man sa casing, but this would not affect greatly on the internal components ng PC during operation. But in the long run it will degrade and it will shorten the lifespan ng mga IC ug transistors. IC manufactures conducts heat testing kung asa kutob ang IC mo fail at certain temp but they do'nt conduct endurance test. The manufactures only presume that your oprating at 24 degree celcius room temp.

    Well putting some insulation in the casing will reduce the amount of heat adding up to to the IC's and prolonging its life span.

Mao na its gud to have addtional fans sa PC, sakto pod kay sunyats3n na air circulation is another key technique.

    Depende on your videocard, not all videocards have hardware temp sensors.

    Wrong,Manufacturers do both temperature and endurance testing, specially for those IC that are incharge of controlling voltages.. BUT only on a few batch of chips they assume the rest are ok since manufacturing these IC have a perfect yeild ( different from perfect operations )

    Wrong,IC's that do with voltage regulation ang flow is tested to operate at more than 80c ( ex voltage regulators on 7900GT and X1900XT's )

    Putting insulation exactly where? inside the case, outside?? regardless of where you place it insulation doesnt but i can potentiall increase the total heat inside the case since installing those insulation pads will allow some static air to be trapped behind in ( sandwitched between the casing )

    EDIT: take ISL6549 chip for example it has ratings over 90c in temp limits

    ahh.. ok.. abi nakog unsa na..

    well.. kong wala ka budget para electric fan.. pag add nalang ug fan sa imo case if wala pa..

    epiktibo sad ni nga airflow ai:

    @wendellmb

    The standard rule is always 1 intake in the front bottom, 1 intake ( yes intake ) in the sidepanel to give the videocard and other cards a cooler air and finallay 1 or 2 fans that can match the total intake of both front and side.

    the problem with placing a exhaust side panel is that the videocard can never a cooler air since its sucked by the sidepanel fan right away ( since 99% of the time casef ans are more powerfull than stock VC fans ) ive already did several tests on different videocards casings and fans and all of then resulted on a better videocard and processor temps if the side panel was an intake.

    EDIT: maybe in very rare cases/occations a sidepanel exhaust is better, but i have yet to see results for that

    @ Earlz, mao pod ako nabasa sa ubang forums, suggestion sa mga kauban nako, ug sa suggestion sa Intel for airflow. one intake sa front (sa bottom if possible cause ang air sa ubos is ussually cooler than sa hangin sa taas), another intake sa gilid, usa ka exhaust sa luyo then finally, ang exhaust sa power supply. mao jud ang suggestion. but i've seen some casing where ang side is built for exhaust (naa murag tube sa tapad sa fan sa processor na connected sa side pannel exhaust), design jud sya for exhaust. but no matter what config you may have, always make sure kuno na ang air outflow nimo is always equal or greater than your air intake para dili matrap ang init sa sulod sa case. and if you can lower your temp by 10 degrees, you can double the lifespan of your hdd (i think it is also applicable sa processor)

    sunda lang ni nga set up sa mga fans kay tested na ni,

    front fan------->intake

    side fan-------->intake

    back fan------->exhaust

    top fan--------->exhaust

    sa ako old rig...ni buy rko surplus nga fans.. with higher rpm and amp

    nothing should block on its front and side para mka sulod ang cool air

    i positioned my PC facing west.... ive got two windows at north and one in south... so dili dyd cya mainitan bsn asa mg atubang ang adlaw.. ive got i fan on my room para mka circulate ang air

    singit lng ko gmay mga bro coz naglibog pd ko kng unsa jd right configuration sa fans sa ako casing...
    i tried the following configuration--1 front intake, 1 side panel intake, and 1 rear exhaust...the problem i have with it is mu init maau ang rear panel sa ako casing and ang ibuga na hangin sa exhaust fan ky init pd kaau! i think its because my rear panel's slot for the fan is not very open. naa ray gagmay na mga holes for air to come in/out, unllike sa side fan slot a open jd cya...correct ba ko sa ako haka2x? hehe...

    when i opt for the following configuration--1 front intake, 1 side exhaust, and 1 rear intake-- di na mu init ang rear panel sa ako casing and ang hangin na ibuga sa exhaust fan is medyo cooler na gmay...

    hhmmmmm.....unsay sakto??

    Bro, Logic tells you that mo init man gyud na ang exhaut kay your pulling hot air away from the case,dont expect to get sub zero temps to be exhausted when cooling hot pc compnents ( lol )

    also placing an intake on the rear kills the whole process of cooling your system. Like what i said the rule of the tumb is, Intake at the bottom,Intake on the side panne,Exhaust on the REAR, adding an exhaut on the top can also help.Exhaust total CFM >>> MUST <<< be greater than the intake.
