For me it is between Toshiba and Dell if you are upto latest technology but if you want the cheaper and competitive brand I think it is MSI and ACER..
Stylish laptop.. Apple and it has also the latest technology..

i'm using toshiba... pretty durable... it haven't pissed me even once...
but i want to have mac... maybe on the first quarter next year...
it really depends on your preference and budget bro...

i have 3 laptops nga gigamit Macbook,Acer,HP.so far ang Acer pinakalig-on and siya ang pinaka gamay ug issue.ang Macbook black nako kay ka 2 na gi-ilisan ug HD kay cgeg kaguba labina ug cge nimo alsa2xhon.mao pod kasagaran issues sa akong mga friends ang hard drive sa Macbook.HP so far nindot ug performance but ang iya pod HD ang dali maguba.i heard ang ASUS maayo daw nga laptop sa akong nabasahan nga reviews.

Toshiba, Asus, Lenovo (IBM), Fujitsu. Ika duha na ni nako nga Toshiba akong gamit ron kay Toshiba Satellite X-205 for more than a year na. Kaya kaayo ang mga bug-at nga games, 17" ang screen and best of all hdmi na siya. Upgraded nako ang usa niya ka hard disk to 500 Gig.
Ang akong boss kay yearly siya mag ilis ug laptop and so far sa iyang experience ang toshiba ang kasaligan. Don't fall for sony and dell kay daghan issue. Acer is nice also barato ra siya, lig-on sad.

kung ako ang mu recommend kay lenovo laptops... second kay asus.. though i've got a compaq cq40... i would recommend those two first mentioned items.. but if you want to go for high class, then buy apple laptops... just avoid laptops with nvidia chipsets...

Brandwise...
nindot ang Mac ug Sony.... para pang hambog.. lol...
Seriously, nindot ang build quality sa mac, sony, fujitsu (if money is no object)
Sikat man kaayo to ang toshiba sauna pero lately,... murag wa naman manimaho ilang products. Medyo mahal nasad sila compared sa newer brands unya di na kaayo dakog difference sa build quality.
Dell is debatable.. naay uban models nga nindot, naa say uban nga cheap looking. Daghan sad ko kaila nga dell users nagka problema sa ilang laptops. My mom has a dell netbook... it looks and feels bland vs the other netbooks out there.
Then theres the value for money nga laptops... Asus, Msi, Acer etc.. depende na sa model... dili ma generalize.
Keeping prices in mind, I would go for Acer and Lenovo. They seem to be more polished vs. the other value based laptops.
I forgot to mention HP.... daghan features and ok sad ang hitsura pero pwerte ka bloated ug software nga makalagot... Maka walay gana ilang laptops tungod sobra ka bloated gyud ang software.. mag reinstall pa ka and all pero their drivers itself bloated sad kaayo... bisag printer pa lang daan.. sobra na 100Mb ang driver bloat....
