SD15 ang firmware version sa ako drive... in which other people from seagate forum is claiming having problems pud... (

Seagate said DECEMBER 2008 harddisks are most likely to fail specifically those made from thailand, my drive was bought November 11, 2008,and my drive is labelled Made in China... how this would sound likE? Does it make sense? am I unlikely having the bad firmware... since technically my drive was not manufactured december 2008.

their website chat support is lazy.... i guess too many people are in panick for their datas.

as of now if there's nothing wrong with your ST3500320AS, do not do anything. ayaw nlng i-update ang firmware. hulat sa ta sa mas klaro na solution kay daghan hinoon nisamot kaguba.

mao sad ni reasons na i always avoid upgrading to the latest patches/service packs/versions as soon as they are released when my current item(whether hardware or software) is working fine..in order to prevent things like this current problem from happening. usually after a month or 2 pa ko mag update

Thanks. Di sad diay ko mag FW upgrade. Maypa ug Western Digital ako gipalit jud da. Mao ako first choice pero wala stock sa PCX pag palit nako. So, stuck on Seagate.

i just recently bought an external hard drive, happens to be a seagate free agent(st310005fdm101-rk), 1TB. should i also be worried? ako pud gina cross examine sa mga affected models...wala man. is it safe for me to assume?

apil jud akoa sa list dah (ST3500320AS)..... 1 month pa ni pero so far wa pa nuon ko na notice nga problem..... tsk tsk tsk
