Sad. Well, someone should start asking for suggestions on how to preserve the library instead of mere opinions.

    - There are still a lot of people without internet connection. Why not hold a tour there for Elementary or Highschool students in rural areas? A library does not need to be full all of the time. A library needs to touch someone, shape someone and fill someone's imaginings with things that just might improve this country. It's not an internet cafe.

    - Open the library to students who need a place to study. Well there are students who would rather study in McDonalds or other fastfood chains, but there are students (Law students, Medical students etc.) who have outgrown that phase. Do this for free or for a much cheaper amount than study centers. Crisis baya.

    - Those who are not in favor of closing down the library, why don't you drop a visit to the library to show your support? Write your name in the guestbook and put a remark: I want this library to remain open. Or better yet offer more suggestions.

Tsk. This Rama guy is unbelievable. They want to shut it down because they think it's no longer of any use. And what do they suggest to put up in its place? A beerhouse? A mall? Unless they can think of something better to replace the Library, they might as well try to preserve it.

Dili pwede i-close ang public library, public offcials have the duty to preserve it and to make it productive. They have a responsibility to their constituents. It is mandated by the law.

And you kknow what, the public library bldg, is historic.... it is better that they would incluide it as part of their historic tour in suroy2x sugbo.

It's near the place where I bring my laundry to. I should've dropped by earlier, but I didn't know if they were open on Sundays or not.

^yeah hehehe they don't allow reviewers in there. according to the librarians, the place is only for research and reading (using the books there).
