i'm not really a MSG user, I make use of my backyard garden produce (lemon grass, onion leaves & ginger) most of the time and the bottled Mc Cormick herb & spices such as nutmeg, oregano, basil, thyme, black pepper, marjoram to name a few. But as a MSG alternative, i usually go for Knorr's AROMAT, it has very minimal amount of MSG, it's mostly composed of veggies.

Salt, pepper and herbs are great alternatives to MSG. You can also try the "Italian Seasoning" from Mc Cormick.
