mga bai, i know sa atong hobby naa ta mga disagreements. worst thing i just realized now is that im one of the people who doesnt get along with some fellow hobbyist. in short naa tay grupo grupo and in memory of our friend's death, i hope it can inspire us to reunite. im sure this is one goal yoncha wants to happen.
last night there were a few of us there. including wildstar, although we werent able to talk because i honestly felt awkward after the disagreement here sa forum, but bai i want you to know that its water under the bridge and im thankful in a way that i met you personally thru yoncha. so sad lang it had to be this way but at least... and as i said i hope we all get united on his wake. coz honestly i cant imagine if we will still be able to meet fellow hobbyist after we lost a good friend.

@noelting: I think disagreements need not be personal but rather objective. Yoncha once said that he didn't find my "toy comics" funny and I politely asked why. There were others who joined that "conversation" - most of course were on yoncha's side, if I remember - and I uploaded a "toy comics" to annoy them. Someone told me that if I post a photo online expect either praises or criticisms. I told him that I did but I don't think some people know the difference between a "critique" and "having fun at somebody else's expense." In all cases, I didn't take it personally. I didn't know them and they certainly didn't know me. The safety of virtual communication usually makes people more "open" and "expressive."
After yoncha's wedding, he started re-posting in the toy photography thread and I commented about his high-tech frog and Voltes-5. There were no hard feelings between us and when CP told us about is death, I felt something in my heart. Maybe it's not as deep as the hurt his family and friends feel. I guess it's a sense of loss of not having been able to meet him in person, to continue our conversation over bottomless tea or pizza at your favorite hang out in BTC.
I'm not sure if the toycon planned by husdamanus is pushing through but it would be a good place to meet. I don't think yoncha would want us to stop enjoying life and meeting fellow hobbyists. He just left early to play with, well I don't know what toys are available in the afterlife, but I bet they're better than what we have down here.
I was really shocked to learn last Nov 12 while I was at Hobbyshaft to scout out some items...i don't usually go there but for some reason I wanted to go there on that day...and then i learned from the staff there that yoncha and his wife dies the day before in a car accident...
I met Yoncha at the greattoys boards because we had the same passion for DINO RIDERS...you don't find collectors interested in Dino Riders everyday so we were PM'ing and exchanging notes on where to find Dino riders and etc...
He was also the first collector that I met here in Cebu when I arrived here 2 years ago and he was also the first guy to greet me at a small EB at Hobbyshaft BTC.
I lost contact with him for some time and then around 2 weeks ago, I encountered him here at PTK saying that he was recently on a trip from Singapore. I PM'd him and we exchanged PM's, he was suprised na nandito pa ako sa cebu pala, akala nya bumalik na ako Manila.
I went to Sacred Heart Chapel A today and spent around 3 hours there. The first hour I was praying and remembering the PM's we had about Dino riders and stuff.
And then a woman went near me and requested me to to make an origami crane...kind of hard at first but finally made one in a few minutes.
I gave it back to the lady and she was happy because not too many people can the said Paper Crane..and they need around 2 thousand paper cranes.
I asked for more pieces of paper and after a 1 hour, delivered a small heap of paper cranes to their amazement. A young woman expressed her thanks on the small bundle of cranes. I would have folded more but I had an appointment.
I'll be back this Tuesday at Sacred Heart Chapel A.
I'll miss him and the brief meetings that we had. I also hope that I'll see some of the collectors that I met 2 years ago on that small EB.
Bro yoncha, I'll miss you but I'll treasure this very brief moment we met 2 years ago.
