STUPID COA...since they are inutile when it comes to fighting graft and corruption, they are now targeting NGOs that SERVE the people to compensate for their incapability...

the Sinulog is the country's top festival and tourist drawer...it's the best money-making event in the country, IMO...it boosts not only Cebu's economy but of the region, and to some extent, the entire country itself, each time it is held...

in fact, the NATIONAL GOVERNMENT should even finance the Sinulog...hey after all, they are mandated by the constitution to promote culture and the arts...

That's why grabe ilang hangyo ron (headed by Vice Mike Rama) to shed light to COA to maybe just maybe make Sinulog an exemption from their memorandum circular.

Let's just hope for the best. Palaban na tang Sto. Niño aning butanga.

is this a new COA regulation or diha na ni daan sa una pa? because if diha na ni daan, the city government has been funding the Sinulog mardi gras for years then i believe its only Tommy's excuse kay ang tinood jud the city government has no more money. i could be wrong though. hehehe

what Tommy is thinking to cancel is the Sinulog mardi gras and he can do it whether we like it or not. why? if not because of the city's funding ang Sinulog Foundation who organizes the mardi gras wa nay kinabuhi, dili na kalihok. what Tommy cannot do, is to cancel the feast of Sto. Niño wala syay say ana. the feast will go on with or without sinulog. let Sinulog Foundation get its funding from private corporations who make a lot of money during the mardi gras. like anang tigbaligya ug beers, mga hotels, mao jud na silay makakwarta sa sinulog.

well for me, ok ra nako walay sinulog because it has became too commercialized, the religious relevance has been slowly eliminated.
