    I've got another fact here:

in a Star Wars or Star Trek convention adult men comprise about 90% in attendance and not only that, they are garbed in costumes of their favorite character. in a related event, majority of those who line-up weeks or even months for the premier showing of same movies are men. doesn't it explain this thread without question?

grown men wearing Chubaka, Count Dooku, Darth Vader and other characters outfits are just outlandish, childish and plain immature.

I look forward to be playing video games/reading comics/listening to heavy metal music when I'm 60. Times are chaging, I don't think that affects my level of maturity when it comes to relationships. Some women still wear winnie the pooh shirts, and collect stuff toys (and want to go to disneyland in their 20s). Its all good I guess, but these are all just material things. Maturity deals with how you well you interact with other people or situations (in this case you s/o).

some girls can be immature when it comes to relationships though. I once dated this girl who would act all "cutesy" and was very high maintanance. I'm sure there just as much immature men out there too.

like what klavel said guys, maturity is based on experiences. well, maybe we girls take our experiences, learn from them and then by the next, we are more mature in handling that situation again and sunod we are more emotional lang jud than men. but in most cases tingali noh, guys are really in immature especially when it comes to relationship and other things...

Women are more mature than men? Are you kidding me?

Just because a person plays playstation at the age of 40, doesn't mean that fellow is immature.

Correct me if I am wrong on my next few statements....Let me paint a picture of the real world here guys.....

I think there are more women in this world than men.

Leadership is more or less in parallel with maturity.... Compare how many leaders, that are men in this world, as with women? ahhhaaa...you pretty know the answerÂ*

I believe one of the benchmarks for maturity is judgement...
Managers and top management positions.... how many of them are men compared to women?

Maybe you can say, ooohhh that's only the corporate and political world.

OK we will go to relationships......
How do we measure maturity? learning from mistakes and not doing the same mistakes again..... look around you, how many women were hurt twice, thrice or four times as compared to men?

Parenthood...... OK, women nurtured, and played more role in upbringing the child.... But where do the child look up to as a hero or inspiration, when that child is growing up...the child has more respect to the father than the mother. Ask yourself, when you grow up, whom do you pay more attention, or how would you react when your mother talk to you on something, as compared to your father?

Yeah, culture plays a part on this....but this is exactly what is happening. this is where we based our judgement on who is more mature.....

But also, expectation plays a part, that's why we usually think that men should do more on what they are suppose to do because they(or we) are simply......men

Pareha sa height ba, di ba morag mas taas tan-awon ang babaye ngaÂ* 5'10" sa lalaki nga 5'11"? pero in reality diay, mas taas gihapon ang lalaki.

most of the real world scenarios depict men having their chores, errands and appointments getting the backseat when we're talking about playing games, "Toys for the Big Boys" or whatever you might call it. let's be honest here: you've got friends, as well as I do, who prioritize playing these games than doing the yard, household chores, running errands or even at the extent of having their wife attend PTA's and other important functions than leave their game. when one's priority is all screwed-up that's when I draw the line of maturity.

this has nothing to do with maturity per se when you said "Compare how many leaders, that are men in this world, as with women?. it's been centuries upon centuries that women are mostly relegated to the house. we can't deny this. it was only until the 19th and 20th century when women were slowly accepted to hold important roles in society. thus we had "first woman this", "first woman that" and so on and so forth..

^^ same answer as above. I'll leave it to the women to answer these their way.

this is a given. women, most often than not, show and manifest their feelings compared to men. men keep their hurt, failures and negative sentiments to themselves and thus resulting to: "Males are four times more likely to die from suicide than females (CDC 2004)." here's a link to the study.

maybe you can rephrase this so we'll understand where you're going.. and what you're referring to.

this is irrelevant, it's like comparing apples to oranges.

that's your point of view but it sounds more of a sexist's POV than anything. let's give women their due and not just make generalizations.

@amaw...kaw ha...sexist man to imong points nga gi raise....lisod kaayo bro kon mag lantugi ta aning bahina...pero puede sad tuhik2 ko tubag sa imo points...

1- more men are leaders sa world....mao na look where the world is going...sige gubat kay agion sa inisog pirmi...kon women pa ang leaders...sus mag organize ra mi sige ug shopping spreeÂ*

2- Managers...are mostly men....yeah puede...pero i happen to know from personal experience of top positions handled effectively by women...depende lang ni unsa nga field....

3- On women getting hurt more....parehas ra baya siguro...mas expressive lang ang women maong mas obvious....

4- and on parenthood...well that depends sa individual family...di japun ma generalize...ako personally my mother had more impact on me kaysa ako papa...

just could not resist commenting on your comments...kay it kinda rubbed me the wrong way...

pero anyway as i said...ako ok ra jud nako play games ako partner....as long as responsibilities are not neglected....
