The problem with "creation of man" theory(in the bible) is its time.
In the bible, creation only occurred a few thousand years ago.
And everything is created in just within a week.

But we all know that every element in this universe existed millions of years apart.

The problem of "big bang" theory is it is too random.
Randomness does not result into a system.
If you put together carbon, oxygen, hydrogen, nitrogen and other elements, chances are in millions of years it will never form into a man.
Therefore we are created by a superior being.

@jlodarl: My suggestion to you mam is to write a personal mission statement. Do you have one? Your personal mission statement summarizes your deepest values and principles, what's really important to you, who you really want to become, and what you really want to do and accomplish.

I've learned a lot from "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People" ni Stephen Covey. Like you, it's a challenge for me too, to write my own mission statement and to set goals and act on them; to be constantly motivated and passionate about my dreams and plans, etc. It's a day to day challenge, but I like it hehe... So I suggest you pick the book up, if you haven't already read it.

Anyway, I really believe having our own mission statement is very important. We won't have any sense of direction and purpose if we don't have one. Organizations, for example private companies, have mission statements, without one they won't have any direction, they will fail in the venture.

After writing our own mission statement we must plan and set goals based on it. It helps a lot also if our goals are specific and time-bound. We must clearly picture them out and set deadlines, and each and every day we must do something to achieve that particular goal. "We don't have to do a thousand things. We just have to do something," said Anthony Robbins. So we must do something, even just one thing, on a daily basis.

If dali ra ta mapul-an sa ato goals, we must evaluate them and try to see if they are still aligned to our mission statement. Stephen Covey said something like if we are not able to do something about our goals consistently, if we are bored or if we lose our drive to act on our goals, that is probably because we haven't really taken our mission statement to heart. The only solution is to have discipline. That means we have to become "disciples" of our values and principles. We must have a burning "yes" to our dreams, goals, values and principles (our mission statement) for us to be able to say "no" smilingly to the things that are not important in our lives.

    Just my two cents.
The key idea in this book is not really on the effective habits.
It is on the way you "think"
and the way you "center" yourself
that results to being an effective person.

I really appreciate all the inputs you have posted here. i also have my own sets of questions about life and people in general, and here are some:
    1. why do people keep on making the same mistakes? (aside from not really learning from their previous mistakes)
    2. is there such thing as true love between human beings?
    3. why do people give good advices to other people's problems but can't give themselves good advices?
    4. is there such thing as karma?

One question at a time lang ta ha!

    Q:
    1. Why do people keep on making the same mistakes?
(aside form not really learning from previous mistakes)

If you keep making the same mistakes this is because you have not valued whatever it is you are doing.
You never put much weight to it, to be consciously aware of not making mistakes.
Maybe there are no heavy consequence to those mistakes.
This is the reason why it is important to punish kids when they intentionally made mistakes.
I don't believe in the juvenile court system.
It does not discipline our young offenders,
    they only provide excuses-
    - such as: they are too young to face the real consequence.

So, if a person make the same mistakes over and over
this is because there are no heavy consequence as punishment for committing those mistakes.

For example, akong anak magsigeg duwa og computer games unya dili mosulod og class.

Of course! But the problem is the definition of true love.
Parents usually demonstrate true love to their children.
    Pero dili tanan ha!

If you are talking about romantic love.
This is not considered "true love".
Because true love does not expect anything in return.

In romantic love you have to make your lover love you.
You do anything to win her heart.

In true love, you don't have to win her heart.
You just do it and give her all your love.
Without expecting for her to love you back.

Romantic love is selfish in nature.
You do it because this is what makes you feel good.

In true love you still do it even it it hurts like hell.

    Over confidence and blind spots.

Over confidence. They think that they know things enough already
that the assume everything they do is right.
They gain more confidence as they give good advice to others.
There is where the problem starts.

    Blind Spots.
We as individual can never give ourselves good advice because we have what I call blind spots.
We can never see the whole view of ourselves.
We need someone else to see if we have something on our back right.
We can not see our back!
    We can not see everything.
    Blind spots.

Yes, I live in this principle.
But not the same principle in the old Hindu belief.

    Scientific based Karma.
Every action requires an equal opposite reaction.

A universal type of Karma that affects your soul not just your body or not just on this life.

    Thanks JosephDc.
Josephdc is right about being an effective person.
It is important to set goals and follow through on that goals.
Then assess your goal on how far have you accomplished these goals.
Although it is not as simple as that all the time.
Sometimes it is because of our childhood experiences.
Sometimes it is because of our birth year.
Sometimes it is because of our vices and other things.
Sometimes it is because of lack of self discipline.
Yup, I agree. It's very challenging to act on one's goals. Sometimes we get lazy. I believe laziness is one of our biggest obstacle; if we can overcome laziness, we can accomplish lots of things.

Sometimes it is because you wanted to do so many things
that you lose the energy to finish what you started.
Mao jud. So we really need to manage ourselves and our time better. We need to do those activities that are important to us, those things that are on our priority list. If we keep on putting them off, they will become urgent and we will be overwhelmed by so many tasks. So we should really focus on the important things in our lives.
