.. yeah. What baffles me is when they ARGUE about their religions, what's the point ?? This thread is actually good, those questions sort of summarized this whole religion board. Coz, like what you observed, some people here really shove their thoughts up thy arse. Which is utterly absurd.



@icy.... it was a gradual transition. It's when i started to question all this nonsense devotion to the divine. The divine is something people just made up to quench our questions of "what happens after death", coz let's face it, no one really knows what happens to us when we die. We have theories but not concrete enough. And this being called God, if you trace back to the first humans, they never understood what Lightning nor Thunder is, or what the Sun or Moon truly is, so they started to revere these things, worshiping them as God. To make it short, people made up God...i didnt became an atheist just because i cant see God nor feel him nor had a miracle, that's too shallow.

.. and in terms of the Bible, it's the best NOVEL of all time. C'mon, please read the Old Testament, the Exodus, that was a good adventure story. And that whole thing about God talking to man or moses, fck that. What made him so special.... and oh, if you find the real meaning of the Old Testament.. that time, Moses and his crew were Nomads and Israel was THE city. So the Hebrews made up this great story and told everyone that GOD GAVE ISRAEL TO THE HEBREWS. Nice strategy, since it's divine no one dares argues with moses. God the scapegoat. And God wants Abraham to sacrifice his own child, fck, nice one God, kill thy own child to prove your worth. Stupid.

.. The New Testament is just a bunch of GOODY-TWO-SHOES-GUIDES. It's just guidelines on how to be GOOD TO YOUR FELLOWMAN... but, i wonder why some of the Bible-following-people aren't doing the things being taught in the Bible

Allow me to answer that, but let me say a very important thought: alot of us here are anal retentive.

So why do people insist? It is because they still have that noble aspiration that there is such thing as Truth.

That although it maybe irritating to hear, ideas that are plain drivels or BS which of course pollutes many of the threads here, we cannot help but respect their opinion no? There is no A** shoving happening or whatever sexual metaphors you people could think of, there is just BS and its not being shoved, even with lubricants (metaphorically pointed out), its up to the the people to decide whether to accept it or not and continue the dialogue or not.
I know for a fact that RCRUMAN is doing his best, which is not enough, to explicate his beliefs no matter how incongruent it maybe, he is afterall with the presumption of pursuing 'truth.' so its upto you if you accept his tenets or not, i dont think he goes around shoving it up to people's a**. He of all people know that God destroyed two cities for that. Irritating it maybe, because he’s truth, he’s reality-frame, he’s perspective is far from that of our own, which is a perspective that keeps us comfortable.
Soul Doctor, although he has this delusional belief of the universe unfolding in his mind, that he is the chosen one to be given the knowledge of Reality through medititation/lapse of meal, he is still pursuing that noble point, that is what he thinks is truth. Its up to you too believe him or not, he maybe presumptuous at times, most of the times, but what use is it to speak of your truth if you do not have the confidence to talk of it among the unbelievers, no?
Nasyo, has his way of saying that Truth is lived. and that truth, is seen in peace. (Lenon is god ) That in itself is a way of making his point, but because he is not as mystical as the other two he is passed as somebody who does not shove things in people's behind. But still its no different, he speaks on what he believes in, what he's truth is. And like them, it is a noble ideal. Lenon had an interest in eastern mysticism, this is observable when the beatles was still a band, their later songs are riched in eastern-hindu-mystic underpinnings. The Inner light is one of them, and when he recorded his own, he had Instant Karma among others.

They attempt to rationalize their truth, although incongruent it is no different when Fingolfin explicates his truths of Atheism. Both stances fail, they are beyond the limits of reason, but still they speak with seeming authority oover the subject. The noble presumption of Truth.
So allow me to answer your question Aztina by saying there is NO perversion going on, of a** shoving and what have you. Its up to you to believe in it, or not. The world afterall is full of BS whats a few more BS ? You think they are a** shovers of ideas, then you have not met the Television and the newspaper either that or you do not know that they are the propagators of unreality and untruth. Truth only presents itself to those who are worthy for her, there are only a few witnesses to TRUTH, such is why in our times, it has become more of a legend which would explain this paranoia of people speaking of their truths. It boils down to your decision. Do I speak the truth? Its up to you. Even with lubricants I wont shove, don’t think that I do.

well the diff between soul_doctor and Rcruman is soul_doctor does listen and not insist on what he believes, he'l give you an answer and its up to you to believe it, he wont tell you your religion is wrong or you are wrong for that matter, he wont ask you questions he already know the answer.
as for rcruman he'l ask you a question he already knows the answer, and if you answer it with your own idea or opinion he's shove it up your a** the answer from he's bible, then if you reason out he'l even push it up harder and ask you for a verse, im not saying its wrong but please he doesnt have to insist it, and show the whole istorya community that your wrong.
