yup there is always a quality control, anyway i work in an LCD manufacturing so i know unsay style, AFAIK, kanang inigrelease sa bag o nga product medyo gamay ra ganansya ana or lose ba kaha kay ang mga material gamiton mahal gikan pa japan, then segi experiment, buak dri buak didto sa substrate glass kay machine trouble.. pero sa magkadugay magkastable na ang process locally purchase na dayon ang materials, so cost down to gain more income.. kung dili maapas ang order mooutsourced na sa lain na manufacturing company... looy pud baya ato mga fellow pinay nga naasign sa QC or test kay arsa bug at dayon check mga dead pixel or other defects.. qouta lng ug 500 to 900.. lowbat na gud inig uli ana nila....

ang nokia gani naay model nga ginabuhat ddto sa taiwan, dayun ibaligya sa US... pinaspasay nag ug trabaho kay naay quota apason...

Seagate ko bai. nindot ang warranty nila karon which is 3 yrs + 2 yrs. Reliability, payts ra!

Even around 2001, ga 3 yr warranty sila sa 20GB na IDE type HDD ug 1 month to go para ma expire ang warranty, ning crash ang HDD. Claim nako sa ako supplier, gi ilisan gyud sa Seagate to a 30GB.

Western Digital is a fraction cheaper pero wala pa track record nako. Trying out their 80GB 7200RPM pa.
Maxtor - having compatibility issues w/ other HDD brands so stop buying ko aning brand
Samsung - naka testing pud pero still strong after 2 years of service sa 80GB 7200RPM

nag palit ko ug pc package sa CBX last may 4, 2004 nya karon march 2006 na lapas nako
sa 1 year warranty sa cbx. peru ako hardisk na seagate kay guba mana ron.

unsaon mana bro?asa ko dpat ma ngau ug tabang? sa cbx ba or ditsu ko sa seagate SM?

based on my experience with this brand. heat ra ang problem. specially the barracuda. almost all diri sa opis namo kay seagates. im my opis pc, i install 1x 200gb sata, 1x 80sata, 2x 80gb 7200.8 barracuda.

something to dream on : Seagate 7200.9 - 500GB SATAII

heat problem is solve with the humble auxiallary fan.

wester digital. fights ra pud. gaan lang kau.
cons: highpitch whining

i wud not reccomend : maxtor. though ATA133, prone sa guba, labi nag di ma shutdown properly. ( u know..power fluctuation, brownout.)

ive noticed that WD digital karon mas barato gyud lagi usually by 5% ~10% compared to maxtor and seagate.. and they also offer 3years warranty.. but seagate has 3+2 so ok rasad ang price gyd if you want a long warranty

just bought a 160 gig Seagate 7200rpm HDD IDE.. ako comment kay saba lage cya murag gi rust ang sud, unlike sa ako 40 gig na Samsung smooth raman kau? any comment on this?

i finally decided to buy the 250GB from WD and im very impressed about it. i can actually say its a lot faster than my 80GB drive. its SATA btw and im now tempted to get another 250GB so i can make a RAID-0 set-up
