I've watched this show a couple of times... they give hope to the less fortunate ones, they share what the ofw's give to them. Audience seem to enjoy the show also :mrgreen:

This just shows how powerful TV's influence to Filipinos. I still hate noontime shows for promoting song and dance craze that projects sexual innuendos - remember otcho-otcho and spagetti.
wowowee never grown up by keeping the writer of those songs and promoting bomtarattarat. The song is catchy but its moves again is borderline between malicious and not so wholesome.
The host may be a generous man (sori mom f i disagree with u) but it seemed forced upon him because of his misdemeanors (from tactless comments about women to the feb06 tragedy to child abuse). I don't find him fitting as a role model to my kids.
Balikbayans are shown giving him dollars- for the purpose that it be given away to the poor contestants. It seems like a form of exploitation of the masses just to get higher ratings. It is no longer entertainment for me.
Pardon my opinion above and sounding so self-righteous. but I wish there were something good i found in that show. Unfortunately I cannot find any.
Is it worth watching? For me not.

i agree with you, i never liked that host, everything about him is fake.

but i also feel for the less fortunate who look up to him as one who can give them a full meal when you tell him he's "gwapo".

This show is just promoting MENDICANCY. Kung magsige ning showha managhan samot mga makalilimus sa Pilipinas. Bantayi ninyo kung ang contestant makakupot sa mic, hilak dayon sulti dayon sa problema, nasakit ang anak, nasakit ang inahan, walay pagkaon, walay balay, ug uban pa. Para daghan mo-donate.

But of course dili ta against sa tabang. kung tabang ang tuyo sa Wowowee nganong sa variety show man ipa-agi. Pwede man sila motabang nga dili variety show ang programa not unless kung PASIKAT gyud ila gusto. Kahibalo sila nga daghan naglisud karon take advantage dayon sila og tabang2x para mosikat. FAKE kaau ni nga show. Ang ilang tabang temporary ra. Sumala pa sa Bible "Give him a fish and he can eat fish right now but teach him how to fish and he can eat fish forever". Ang Wowowee tig-hatag ra ug isda para mosikat.
