"sticks and stones can break my bones
but words can't hurt me."
though it's not true coz words can really hurt, there's still some truth to that rhyme, at least to me. words are meaningless to me--anybody can hurl insulting words like bogo, batig nawong, buang, ug unsa pa diha--but i can shrug them off. let's say that i require context--who's the person saying those? if close friend (especially someone I look up to) then it's partly true, ma apektohan ko (it's hard to face the truth at first, di ba).
from my end, i've had my share of sins--hurling insults. most of the time without my awareness...in other words, tactless ko adto. also, when i'm mad, i can say hurtful things.
so let me take this opportunity to apologize to those i offendedSome of my sins:
1. telling someone "I don't want to talk to you ever again." - sa kalagot ra ni nako
2. telling someone "you are being insincere" - i didn't mean you as in the total person that you are...just that specific stuff you did..and i may be wrong so you can always correct me.
3. not words, but action: gi-delete ang frenster ug ym niya![]()
"sticks and stones can break your bones...and so can words. and I'm truly sorry."
Agree Ms. Beau, words can really hurt. What insults me mga kabastosan and bad words. I dont have that exposure. Its too low life for me.
