solution is cropping lang to fill the screen up, so much viewable. don't really care much for the missing portions and much better than viewing cropped images sa squares.

depende ra gyud na sa imo main gamit sa imo LCD. kung gaming.. i would recommend widescreen. games nga dili mo support widescreen are old games. however if desktop publishing ka or internet browsing lang.. standard size 4:3 recommended. Best if imo widescreen pwede ma rotate 90 degrees para ma himo portrait mode. best of both worlds.

Ang disadvantage sa widescreen is that many people tend to use wide screen monitors on their consoles like xbox360 and PS3. Xbox360 itself have a set of standard resolutions and it is not as flexible as PCs. Sometimes Xbox360 lacks settings that match the native resolution of the monitor. So consoles resolution is not optimized with the widescreen monitor the result? Stretched screen, oblongized circles. Usually if you are using monitor on your xbox360 its always advisable to use non widescreen monitors or just the plain 4:3 standard monitors because Consoles are optimized for TVs.

But if you are using widescreen monitor on a PC rest assured that the video card's resolution always match the native resolution of the LCD. Most of the time its ok to use widescreen on a PC and no worries at all about stretched images.

i prefer standard, im used to the orientation. takes up lesser space on the desk too. and standard screens can go higher than widescreens. try 1600x1200 on widescreen

@ icemanberg LOL idol na comment hahaha
