C2Ds are really not that expensive for it's performance, it's the performance motherboards/chipset to pair with... Ror an OC'er there's a large headroom to push the limits for C2Ds
Just my opinion

another bad news fro the green team:
http://www.tomshardware.com/news/Int...-cpu,5371.html
" mainstream Nehalem processor code-named Lynnfield will be able to almost double the memory bandwidth - to about 18.5-20.1 GB/s when DDR3-1333 modules are used.
If you own or plan to buy DDR3 memory, prepare yourself mentally and financially for Nehalem. Intel is currently preparing two different desktop parts: Bloomfield will become the new Core Extreme and feature a triple-DDR3 controller. Using three or six DDR3-1333 modules you should be able to achieve 30 GB/s, while Lynnfield will arrive in Q1 2009 and offer a regular dual-channel DDR3-1333 controller. "

for some it doesn't really matter if its AMD or Intel...
basta kay mudagan lang ang office apps ug internet...
AMD had its glory days but Intel just has a deeper pocket...
don't get me wrong i too am an AMD fan boy :mrgreen:
When you compare stock performance always consider the price, it has to be compared on a 1:1 basis, in this case the 4400X2 is not against the E2160 but the E2180. We already know that the E2180 is even faster than a 4800X2 in real world performance.Originally Posted by Der FüHRER

pero naka AMD x2 ko karon..
para makatabang dili mahagba ang amd..
C2D is the best.. hands down.
even AMDX3 can beat a 2 cored intel.
c2d...hands down
this is where i based my statement on..Originally Posted by EarlZ

E2140 = 2595
E2160 = 2750
4400+ = 2795
E2180 = 2950
4600+ = 2995
its the E2160 ~ 4400+, closest thing to 1:1 that you can find
core 2 duo.
but AMD is cheaper
