this idea will not work! All private vehicles? so that means government vehicles, like the mayor's, would be exempted right? who else? the rich people who knows tommy will also be exempted? kung odd-even scheme pa ni... mosugot ko! pero kung blanket ordinance ni for private vehicles... madahan!

How sure? We've all heard those kind of lines before every time Tommy tries to make a move and still ends up proving that his plans worked. As I said, this deserves a chance, we can all go back if this will fail.

sakto toh c Joseph, Cebu Business Club president nga gaingon, "the present modes of public transport are not conducive [for general patronage]".

"Our jeepney, habal-habal and tricycles are not inspiring examples of mass transport".

and if u want to go to SRP coming from the north, way pulos ang imong pagdali kay matanggog ra ghapon ka sa MJ Cuenco. Kanusa man diay na mahuman ang tunnel oi!?

i also agree w/ Joseph that, ā€œTraffic is bad because it's badly managed. What they (government) can do is to deliver basic services to the public and not pass on the hassles to the people.ā€

Yes, private vehicles account for 80 percent of road users while only 20 percent are public utility vehicles, such as jeepneys, taxis, buses, and van for hire.

BUT these public utility vehicles are always present on the road as compared to private vehicles. Ang private vehicles mogawas ra man na usually when going to and after work (peak hours).

I am even tempted to believe that Mayor Tomas was wrong (or he knows it is wrong but did it anyway) in his prioritizing the SRP over the LRT system which is supposedly been long overdue na...

kining ilang proposal to ban private vehicles in arterial roads is just a temporary band aid solution that would not even work...

    we need the LRT!!!

kasagaran ana nila wala man seminar bah..mga pa ugat pajud kaau.

Better traffic management will solve this, not banning private vehicles. Take for example the Banilad road.

Cge jud paboran ang vehicles from AS Fortuna even though taas na kaayo traffic sa Ban-Tal road abot nas Cabancalan. Don't they have modile radios to coordinate with the different CITOMS to check on the length of vehicles waiting in queue?

Hahay. Maygani night shift ko karon.
