daghan man kaayo nga cool excercises but excercises are only meant to develop certain aspects sa imong technique, different excercises for different techniques to solve different problems sa imong playing. excercises can be scales, arpeggios, chords, rasguedos, slurs, rythm, alternate picking, sweeping, hybrid picking, position playing, linear playing, sight reading, speed, ear training, mode identification, improvisation etc. etc.

Its true that practice makes perfect but if your practice includes your mistakes, then you will also perfect your mistakes.
Always identify where your problems are and correct them by practicing the correct execution of your problem areas.

for example, if in a scale na-ay duha ka notes na masapid gyud ka, kana rang duha ka notes balikbalika until ma perfect nimo, ayaw ang whole scale. only when maperfect na nimo ang two notes should you go back to playing the whole scale. Identify the problem areas, correct them and practice the correction only. If balikbalikon nimo ang whole scale, sa 50 times nimo gi repeat, maybe 30 times ka ga praktis sa mistake nimo.

This will hold true in all aspects of your playing and in whatever instrument you play.
