be honest, be straight. u might hurt him/her but it's better to tell the whole truth than tryin' to let him/her think that everythin's gonna work tho' it actually wont work anymore.

its hard to admit to someone who has trusted u w/ his/her heart that u have fallen out of love.. but the noblest thing a person can to that someone is be honest w/ him/her about everything.. break it to him/her as gently as possible.. but never tell lies juz so u can spare her from the pain.. it will only hurt more if he/she finds out from someone else about the real story.. falling out of love isnt somethin u wanted to do in the first place.. so be completely honest.. u really dont hafta explain why, coz u wouldnt really know why it happened.. it juz happened!
