You place it on all intake fans only.

Just a suggestion its better to have a negative pressure inside the casing. Mean more air blowing out than intake. IE more fans blowing out lesser fans for intake. Disadvantages of this is dust. fan filter could help repel the dust.

Tried this kind of method before. My system temps is cooler when the side panel is put on compared to opened sidepanel.

Outside, you should have a frame for mounting and securing it.

imo ni butang ang filter bro before sa imong intake fans...para ang air iyang masuyop lesser na ang dust...ngita-e lang pa-agi nga ma mount nimo ang filter ug tarong...by the way...i open my casing once a month and ako tirahang ug compressed air sa sulod para ma tang2x ang dust.i don't know kung sakto ni nga practise but it worked for me for 10 yrs now...so far wala pa gyud na yari sa akong mga computers diri including my servers.hope this helps...

Yeah thats nice. To circulate more air put intakes in the front and the sides. so 4 exhaust and 2 intake. That should do it.

You should also consider the fans power or RPM. It would still create be negative airpressure inside even if you only have 1 outflow fan and more than 1 intake unless that only 1 outflow overpowers the intakes.
Fan positioning is also a consideration.
