A factor also could be people going to the SOUTHERN PROVINCES to spend the LONG HOLIDAY WEEKEND .

If drag racing or motorsports will continue in the future, what concerns me more is not the traffic but "what if" there will be an emergency?

The Japs were even the ones who discouraged to use the SRP for recreational purposes in expense of the common folks.

well, bottom line is, they should be able to construct a race track of their own and not use public roads for their damn fast cars.

aren't we talking about safety here?

2 weeks ago, 8 people died in maryland---they were bystanders---on the side of the road. wa lang hibaw-i, na lost control ang nag drag race ug naigo sila.. PATAY on the spot.

how different it is when we talk about drag race in SRP?

Building a commercial race track in Cebu would be a good business venture.. this requires a large area + investment but who knows someone will venture on that perhaps from the race clubs but for now the race schedule at the SRP is not that frequent so I don't think it will be lotsa hassle to the public (one side of the road is close and they can still pass from the other side) and so far no amajor accidents has been reported that's why they name the race after to the Mayors Cup so that they can easily get licenses.

The racing fans, clubs and riders around the Phils are excited every year to come down and race here in SRP they can showcase their hobbies and skills etc and the local government can leverage on that. We can make Cebu as the racing capital of the Phils how's that?

i think the case in maryland is illegal drag racing. kaning sa SRP is legal and safety precautions are met. Tomas Osmena Cup pa man gani na...
