Jeepney operators will be the one effected, but note that jeepney operators are earning more than the driver had, and that is not a fair share. My idea towards this is to let the government use their jeeps and just give them their fair share.

We must adapt the changes...as the theory of Charles Darwin states, "The theory of Adaptation", then I may say, "Adapt or die!"

i agree with u sir.ky bsan ug unsa ang changes kung kita d mu adapt.wala ghapon silbi...

para nako dapat mas strict ang pag kuha ug liscence, specially ang professional ky sa ako lng na bantayan..ang permi nuon mu violate ug rules ky ang mga taxi drivers and jeepneys..pero i'm not being one sided lng ha...even ang motorcycles pd kusog kaau mu kawat ug lane which causes accidents..kung ato nabantayan rn ang mga accident ky taxi ug motor jd na.hahahaa..if ato lng na e disiplina ug au by being more strict sa pag kuha sa liscence..mas ma lessen ang accidents, then ma lessen pd ang trafic

From what I have noticed, though dako2 ang volume sa mga sakyanan, it doesn't pose much of a problem if maayo ang pagkaimplement sa traffic rules. Some sites nga akong manotice kung asa grabe ang traffic:

1.) Junction areas where traffic lights are not working well
2.) Junction areas where there is no traffic light and no designated CITOM or traffic enforcers.

Another thing is that stopping, loading/unloading, and parking areas should be strictly implemented. Naa lagi mga no stopping, no loading/unloading signs pero unsaon ta man wala may gaimplement. Signs will not catch violators, enforcers do so kinahanglan naa gyud enforcers. Signs are useless kung di modakop. In line to that, kanang mga PUJs dapat tagaan gyud na sila ug lugar outside the road para loading or unloading.

Bottomline is dapat strict and consistent implementation of the rules. I believe that we have good rules so kung maimplement lang na ug tarong, dako kaayo na nga butang.

Drivers that lack discipline + Very lax implementation of the traffic rules = Traffic gyud

Before we start looking somewhere else for new solutions, why don't we look at what's lacking on the things that we have right now.

Outside the box.... make the box bigger. Consolidate city blocks to make the blocks bigger reducing the number of intersections. More through traffic, less traffic lights. Save the small roads for pedestrian traffic.

Also the city needs to finish some roads, some roads have been left incomplete, e.g. R.R. Landon one lane is occupied by squatters. Ramos street is blocked by squatters near Cebu Doctor's and a building beside the old BelVic. One lane in Gorordo Avenue between the Mormon temple and JY square has not been built, basin wala pud gi expropriate. Road going to Talamban, sometimes the four lanes are reduced to three or even two with an electric pole on the road even. The latter problem/s is/are not new. They are decades old and nothing has been done about them.
